    The only heads worth doing the swap would be the 69/70 windsow heads. They have some pretty decent flow numbers. After that, the smog era kicked in and all performance was lost.

    Does it grind going into reverse? If so thats normal. Reverse doesn't have a synchro, so wait a sec before you engage the gear.

    MSD ignition won't give you any more power. The stock ignition set up is sufficient for a stock engine. LCA's have better bushings which allow a more solid grip with the road.     well it would appear that somehow coolant is leaking into the combustion chambers. Check to see if you can find any external leaks. Also check your oil, if you see a milky substance or water, then you know you have trouble.

    Posi is a chevy term. Fords use "trac lock" (spl?). Limited slip means it uses some form of a clutch device to allow the wheels to move uniquely, for instance around a sharp corner.

    IMO, drag racing engines would be made to make power higher in the rpms, producing more hp. In road racing, you want the low end torque to pull you out of the corners.
