    HEADERS

I say go with the long tube headers... I've yet to bottom them out and haven't a single scratch on them (caused by asphalt anyway...). I have the 600 springs up front with half a spring cut out to drop it this low (with a 289 not giving it a hole lot of weight) Like it has been...

    NEW GAUGE CLUSTER!!!

I seriously don't recall having an issue with a waiting period... but now that I think about it, my purchase was actually in late 2001 or early 2002. The delay may be higher demand or that they use actual refurbished parts (not reproduction) for the cluster.

I guess I could always lay down the extra dough for a hydraulic setup correct (like money is growing on trees these days)? Anyway... sorry for hijacking the thread. Scott

    NEW GAUGE CLUSTER!!!

I've had mine for over 3 yr's now... love it! Car was a mess in these pics... was being put back together at the time. Very expensive mod... but it was nice that it is an original cluster with original pig tails for the wiring. Anyone that know's what they are doing could do...

What should my engine temp and oil pressure be?

I would say I saw a max of a 5 degree drop... maybe even a tad less. I also am using a dex coolant as well.

What should my engine temp and oil pressure be?

Check it out here on Summit: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RED%2D80204&N=115&autoview=sku "Wetter water for better cooling. Red Line Water Wetter provides corrosion and rust protection for modern aluminum and cast iron cooling systems. This unique additive...

    HEADERS

I have the Hooker Comp ceramic coated headers... look great and I've had no problems. However, I am still set up with the stock 4 sp toploader and mechanical clutch. Was hoping to do a T5 swap soon and new I would have issues.... but didn't think I would have to dump my headers. Scott

    MUFFLERS...

I am using the 50 series... and could not be happier. I wanted something a little more tame than the 40 series as I have a convertible and wanted to be able to hear my-self think. Anyway... you can see my build in my signature is pretty similar to where you are heading with the exhaust...

What should my engine temp and oil pressure be?

I am almost exactly as above for temp and oil pressure... I've got a 289 .030 with less than 3k on a rebuild and an aluminum Griffin radiator and no fan shroud. Never gets above 210 in the summer sitting at a stop light but normally runs around 185 - 195. I also have a bottle of water whetter...

    Replacing rear springs

Yeah, everything... but keeping an eye on safety (i.e. didn't loosen the u-bolts too much as to where the nipple would slip out of the leaf spring plate). I think the critical bolts to have some initial play before being torqued are the shackles (all four) as this is the area with the most...

    Replacing rear springs

This is exactly the same issue I had when I swapped my rear springs out (passenger rear side was over an inch higher). Did you torque down everything with the suspension in the air? That is what I did and what caused my 2 1/2 weeks of agony. Once I loosened up all the bolts and took the car...

    Replacing rear springs

Don't remember the specifics on the torque... but it wasn't much (may 25 ft lbs for the shackles). One thing I learned the hard way... tighten things down loosely and take the car for a leisurely stroll around the block. Then once you got her back in the garage, torque everything down to spec...

    problem fillin up

 :rlaugh:  Yup, I think we've all run into this issue before. Really sucks when you've just finished putting a good detail on your car and then have gas splatter all over the rear bumper.

    My Fellow Warriors

My path started out in a similar fashion to most I knew in the military... I was lost and had no direction. I spent almost three years in college and then decided to take a chance on enlisting (meaning my college asked me to leave). It was with out a doubt the best decision I made in my entire...

    P/S lines hitting headers

Just out of curiousity; can you explain the framerails issue? I'm guessing that by dropping the the bracket there is more leverage being intruduce to the frame rail by the Power Steering Ram? Just curious... Scott

    P/S lines hitting headers

I had a similar issue with the Hooker Competition long tube headers... Hooker provides (meaning you have to pay for it) a bracket to lower the "Power Steering Ram". I know you can pick one up from Mustangs Plus...

    67 shelby hood scoop openings

Also forgot to mention; I've read somewhere (probably on this forum) that carb engines will most likely not see any benefit from the hood scoops such as this style. Reason being is the negative pressure created by airflow from underneath the car... and that air may actually get pushed out of...

    67 shelby hood scoop openings

How about this: And this: I love this hood... with that said, mine was pre-fabbed with the cut-outs. Hope I am giving you what you where looking for, Scott
