Adjusting valves on 302 with hydralic lifters

I was planning on having the local mechanic finish building my engine and placing it and the trans back in the car, but scheduling seems to break down all the time. How hard is it to adjust the valves on the 302 with hydraulic lifters? My engine is all an new 302 circa 1986 roller cam...

65-66 front fender replacements- Do they fit?

I would buy from them without hesitation but being in Arizona I am sure the shipping would kill me. Worth a phone call right?

65-66 front fender replacements- Do they fit?

My car has a poorly fitting replacement left front fender. It is out of whack at the front top, top adjacent to the windshield and does not line up with the bolt on holes behind the headlight. I don't want to mess with this fender. I am planning to order a "original tool" fender from NPD...

Need good way to strip paint off my car

I stripped the aftermarket junk paint off my 66 with one gallon of heavy duty paint stripper from Home Depot. I used that and a putty knife. I did it in the hot sun, the paint bubbled up and sounded like bacon frying popping off the body. Now a simple sanding of the factory paint that...

    Where does this go?

That is the protector for under dash wiring adjacent to the wiper linkage as mentioned. One of the fresh air intake nuts holds it in place, and once you align that one then the other should self explain. (I recall two fasteners) I took mine out some months ago to refinish the drivers side...

    Inside door lock handle question

I got the problem solved by replacing the "Door Handle Shaft". This part contains the spring (in the back) that produces the force required to return the door lock handle to it's resting position. Here is an image of the old part and the package from the new: <a...

Filling in rocker trim clip mount holes

I am going to eliminate the rocker trim moldings on my 66. Is it best to weld up the clip rivet holes or is a quality body filler (2 part) sufficient? I have a mig welder, hate to admit I have not tested it yet... :hide:

    Inside door lock handle question

I successfully replaced the window regulator on my 66's drivers side today. Not too difficult but some work has to be done blind as you know if you have done this. I found another issue, in that the inside door lock handle does not spring back into the "home" position as does the passenger...

    Best 15 Inch Tire

I believe they were Primacy michelins, sold the car recently so I cannot check. I am looking for 215 60 15 also and was trying to avoid BFG's this time around, but have not come to an alternative either. This is for my 66 coupe. sparx

    Best 15 Inch Tire

I had BFG Traction TA's on my 04 Monte Carlo and within a year they all went out of round. I had to replace them because they would not balance. I got Michelins. I would not recommend the Traction Ta's. I have heard the BFG Radials do not have this issue. sparx
