Filling in rocker trim clip mount holes

I am going to eliminate the rocker trim moldings on my 66.

Is it best to weld up the clip rivet holes or is a quality body filler (2 part) sufficient?

I have a mig welder, hate to admit I have not tested it yet...

Definately weld it, get a piece of sheet metal about the same thickness and set your welder and play with it first, short small bumps until the hole gets filled.

Yep, that is a great first project for your new mig. Practice on a separate piece of sheet metal before attacking the car.
