    SFI Balancers

HISSIN you are correct. I have seen test's were balancer's such as the TCI Rattler, ATI, Fluidampr etc. etc. perform there best at high RPM's, and are really not nessasary on a street car. However Fluidampr's Non SFI aproved Streetdampr (Which Is The Balancer I'm Pushing) balancer has proven...

    SFI Balancers

Hardcore????? :nonono: You really know what your talking about.... Just because a couple of company's don't like to use a certain product dosn't mean there crap. Usually all it take's is one faulty product for some people and all of a sudden it become's crap and they will never use it...

    SFI Balancers

 Scat probably say's bull like that cause they have there own brand of balancer's and they want you to buy there's. I like Scat product's by all means and am currently using there stuff in my 408 but I have to say there tech service sucks. When I called Scat I wasn't too impressed at...

    am i ruining my engine

HAMMERDOWN!!!!! Just don't over do it.....Try and stay below 5800RPM, and try not to keep the engine reving for an excesive amount of time at a high RPM. It's good to let your motor rev once in a while...clean's it up a bit and help's get rid of carbon. Hell...some engine's that have been...

    SFI Balancers

What are you talking About?..... Fluidampr's and Streetdampr's are fine for both the street and strip....Myself personally and many other's I know have been running them for years. It's the cheapo brand's you want to stay away from.....stick with the phrase you pay for what you get. You say...

i know it's a tired subject.. carb choices?

NO..... like I said don't even consider a 750 for a 289. A 650 Mecanical or Vacuum Secondary speed demon will keep you and your engine happy through many more engine modifications. Keep in mind also Demon carb's are underrated in term's of flow...Hell a 650 will be plentiful for your...

    SFI Balancers

Depending on what kind of 1/4 mile time's your running some sanctioned racing division's will require you to run an SFI approved balancer. The whole point of an SFI balancer is they are designed not to explode into a million pieces....the same goes for SFI approved bellhousing's, flywheels, etc...

i know it's a tired subject.. carb choices?

Don't even consider a 750, it would be way overkill and would cause your engine to run even more poorly. If you have a pretty decent cam, compression, intake, ported heads etc. I would go with the 650 Mechanical or Vacuum Secondary Speed Demon. You would get a bit more power and response out of...

What flywheel is best for my car?

On a street car don't even consider an Aluminum Flywheel. Go with a Steel....Centerforce and Mcleod make excellent flywheel's that are SFI approved. A steel flywheel actually would make more power then a lightweight aluminum as the steel flywheel povide's a strong reciprocating (I have no Idea...

    Spark plugs

Autolite (Or Motorcraft...Same Plug) Copper plug's all the way.... Nothing else. Those Bosch +4 and +2 plugs are nothing but a gimik and a waste of money....the same goes for splitfire's, NGK V Groove's, etc. etc. etc. Shon

Dynomax Race Bullets vs. Flowmaster Delta 2ch's

You won't notice a huge difference in power.... a WAY louder exhaust note is what the result will be. I'm currently running Dumped Bullets behind my 408 and I love the way they sound.... set's off car alarm's on the other side of the street! It dosn't take long for some people to get sick or...

Swapping to 9" Truck rearend. questions and howtos.

I sold my 8.8 and the profit's from it bought me a Moser 9" Bolt in Housing with Moser Axles and bearing's. It was cheaper for me to build up a 9" as I had tone's of part's laying around for them. (Nodular Housing, Locker's, Gears etc.) Not only that I find the 9" way easier to work on and I...

    kill switch

When I wired up my Aeromotive Fuel Pump, I hid a switch (I'm not saying were!)to cut the power off to it. Everytime I leave the car for an extended amount of time I turn the fuel pump cut off switch off... Being my car is carburated if someone does try to steal it, it will start and they may get...

    anyone dumping their exhaust

I run Dynomax Bullet's Dumped behind my 408 and there loud as hell. I do get marginal amount's of fume's when cruising around on the street's but on the highway I have no problem. I'd say go for it.... if you end up not liking it it's not hard to purchase some decent tailpipe's and throw them...
