    Put a test light on the ignition wire and make sure you're getting voltage with the key on, simple test. It's what fixed mine when it wasn't charging. If I'm not mistaken with the car off you should be at 12v's at the posts, and when you crank the key you should be above that, in the 13-14...

    Sh1tacular mechanics you got there fella. Get the 3G, grind the bracket, upgrade your wiring and call it a day. There's tons of posts about this, if it didn't have an advantage people wouldn't be doing it. Just my .02. :nice:

    Is the diagram I will be following. The only question I have is I want to have a toggle switch on this setup as well. There's an optional clause in there that says you can hook one up between contact 86 and a 12V. I'm unclear on this, does he mean either you can only have one or the other? Or...

    Mine was about the same voltage when I had my underdrive pullies on, now that I went back to stock pullies it has upped a bit. :shrug:

    I got one that's pretty damn close right now, if I change the alternator pully it'll fit. I have a 770K6 belt right now I believe, do they make a 78?

    Strange, doesn't seem to have any bolts on there. I need to jack the car up and get under there to see for sure but from feeling around there doesn't seem to be any bolts. What kind of bolts are usually on it?

    Eh, crankshaft pully needed a pully tool so I went and rented one. It's like a set of jaws, pretty straight forward. My question is, on the install of the stock pully do I just tap it a few times with a mallet or something? Doesn't appear to be any bolts.

    Thanks for all the help fellas, the alternator has the stock pully on it, so I should just be bolt and play with the crank and water pump pully. Thanks again guys.

    Idle issues

    I had problems prior to the new valve. So after replacing misc things I bought the new wells IAC valve. After installation the idle problems still existed, up until like yesterday when I flipped the valve and it fixed it. I have a habit of not reading instructions and it's ****ed me many times.
