    Please recommend your choice for a 'high performance' head gasket that won't crap out under pressure. I've blown 2 Fel-Pro 1011-2 head gaskets, and I am looking to upgrade to something more durable. The only reason I've been using them is becuase Trick Flow recommends them... why, I dont know...

    But if you swapped heads, they do require a short break in period for the valve guides. Its also a good idea if you install new non-roller rockers that use a sled-fulcrum (i.e. factory style)

    Flat tappets have to be 'broken in' by establishing a smooth wear pattern, analogous to seating new rings to freshly honed cylinders

    I've had 2 aluminum radiators, the first was a Summit unit, worked extremely well but the tubes started breaking off after about 3 years so I replaced it with an FRPP one a few months ago.

    thats only for flat tappets, roller cams/lifters require no break in.

    I've driven across Arizona on I-8 using slightly less than a full tank, which I thought was pretty impressive. I would fill up in Yuma and not have to stop again for fuel until I was getting off I-10 in Lordsburg, NM to head north to Silver City.

    I think you mean TDC, that way if the cylinder loses pressure the valves will only fall far enough to hit the piston, not all the way in.
