    460 swap

I couldn't do diesel. Though that would surprise the hell out of some people, I bet. Stroked 460 to 500+ cubes is still sounding really good. Though a 408 wouldn't be bad either. I need money. :nonono:

    spark plugs

E3 Diamond Fire is supposed to be the new hi-po plug, but I still run Motorcraft coppers in my 5.0. You don't need much else.

    460 swap

That wouldn't be half bad. I could definately use that kind of power. haha

    is it screwed?

They look like pro-comp to me. And yeah, watch the springs. You may want to upgrade now to save from further problems. I think it'd hold until you have time to tear it down, but I wouldn't push it with a cut in the rocker like that.

    460 swap

If I went with a 351, N/A, what kind of power could I expect if I really did my homework and built it right? I'm anticipating throwing a lot of money at this car once I'm out of school. I want to replace/restore everything.

    460 swap

Yeah, that's definately one concern. I've heard they can weigh almost 900 lbs dry. But no, I'd want to build the hell out of it. Stroke it, best heads I can find, big ole' carb on top, and the list goes on. I'd be shooting for 500+ cubes and at least 650 horses. But yeah, that'd be expensive...

Where is the PCV Valve located?

Oil is normal on the valve. Below it lies a screen and below that, the lifter valley. There's oil splashing around there all the time. The lower screen is designed to trap that oil from going up and out of the engine, but letting the engine push the extra pressure out somewhere. You swapped...

    460 swap

I didn't post this in tech because I don't think it's that technical of a question. It comes down to an opinion. How many of you would like to do or have done a 460 swap into your fox? Do you like it? How many oppose? And why? Daydreaming in class today, combined with youtube lead me...

    cold idle and hesitation

Don't need a scanner for our cars. Assuming the hardware is still in place, do this. It should work like a charm. Search "DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Test Procedure" on google. First link. The ACT sensor may do it, but it would throw a code. Same with the O2 sensors. Just spend the 10...

    I hate people!

I hate people like that. And I know what you mean about the car being like a family member. That's how it is for anybody who has a passion for these cars. I hope the bastard gets found, and that he pays the price.

Stupidest thing you've ever heard about car performance

Magnaflow exhaust on a 2008 VW GTI is good for 40 horsepower, naturally aspirated. Turbo? 250 to the wheels. This kid says he's walked Vipers and A ZR1. He's running 22 lbs of boost on a stock bottom end. He then proceeded to run a 14.7 quarter. No way!

    What would you check?

The suspension looks fine for now, though I'm planning upgrades in the next few years. Steering though, is a little loose to feel. Power steering pump is fine, but there's good wiggle in the wheel. Would it be time to swap the steering shaft to the rack and pinion? Don't have any pics, but I...

    What would you check?

Being away from the Mustang has had me thinking about all the things I could swap when I do all my gaskets to try to stop my oil leak. Bought it last year, the car had 2 previous owners and has just over 88k on the clock. What I'm wondering is if you had picked this car up yourselves, what...

    need a tune up

Motorcraft copper plugs are the way to go imo. That's what the engine was designed to use. And as for wires, I'm running MSD wires (8.5 mm I believe) and they're great. I'd check out Accel or Taylor too.
