What would you check?

Being away from the Mustang has had me thinking about all the things I could swap when I do all my gaskets to try to stop my oil leak. Bought it last year, the car had 2 previous owners and has just over 88k on the clock.

What I'm wondering is if you had picked this car up yourselves, what components would you check and/or replace?

It drove nice, leaked little, and had few problems when I bought it. But since I want to start doing more parts, I'm concerned about what I should be checking/replacing. What would you check?

Besides regular tune up components. I would probably give the suspension and steering a good check. Treat it any other car.

Flush the cooling system.
Change the engine oil.
Change the oil in the rear end.
Change the oil in the trans.
Change the brake fluid.
Change the power steering fluid.
New spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve. pcv grommet and the metal filter under the pcv valve that most people don't know it exists, so it never gets changed.

The suspension looks fine for now, though I'm planning upgrades in the next few years. Steering though, is a little loose to feel. Power steering pump is fine, but there's good wiggle in the wheel. Would it be time to swap the steering shaft to the rack and pinion? Don't have any pics, but I know it's the original and it's pretty rusty.
