    If the flywheel/HB check out call CHP and make sure the engine is really 28oz. If it was blueprinted or not it will be in the specs.

    Sounds like you were DAMN lucky you got ANYTHING back!!!! What if you did not have insurance on it?!?!?! What if the boxes of the parts had been removed from the boxes,no addresses,no names..... I would never trust anyone with my car (any car not just my Mustangs) for that long! If I cant do it...

    picked up a 68 coupe the other day...

    The $600 you paid for it is nothing!! You can afford to do a lot of work to a car when you can do it yourself. Ditch the entire suspension if its still 4 lug, put a good solid 302 in it and go.

    Does not look like to me the inside is bottoming. I think the sides just need to be sanded to the same curve as the quarter.

    Removing instruments

    The headlight sw has a little button on top you hold and pull the knob out then unscrew the bezel. Sorry not sure about the wiper sw.

    Jegs sells a universal one (Ford or GM outlets) for $180,yes you will have to make up the mounts.

    Well if you really want to do it you can remove the quarter window but I did mine with some time and a ratchet wrench. If you are lucky after you get them broke loose they will spin off by finger.

    Would I be better off going with some Shelby racing specs or stock or something in between?? Car is lowered and has Shelby drop on upper control arms. Everything is new or rebuilt. Anyone have Shelby specs for 68's?
