    Lowered...more shameless pics

just wanted to update this...as you can tell by the pics I live on a incline and there is an additional drop down from the driveway to the curb. I let my wife take the car to the store and watched her back out, the front bumper was literally about 1/8 of an inch from scraping as she backed into...

    K&N cold air intake

so let me get this straight... You buy an intake, have an exhaust (axleback or whatever) and the best option is to get a handheld "plug-n-play" ECU thingamajig with pre-loaded maps for which help you get the best A/F ratio. So, effectively no need for a dyno tune?

    professional detailing, worth it IMO

Ok Nastystang I just read through all of your write up on detailing, I feel like a complete moron for doing it wrong all these years! Good info, will take much of it to heart, especially about the washing part. Question, if you have a detail done, and then at some point go through a "good"...

    Painted my brake calipers

thread resurrection.... to the OP, very nicely done, nice ride and the black on the calipers looks great. I painted mine today, I was a bit squeamish about doing red, but it actually turned out great. Did about 3 coats with the caliper paint (in a can with a brush) and the whole process was...

    coasting downhill in neutral...

You took the words out of my mouth. Seriously...we drive Mustangs right? Why own a Mustang to :taco:-foot around and drive like grandma in her Buick, coast in Neutral, all to save a few bucks on gas that you probably throw away doing other stuff regardless (car mods, Starbucks, eating out)...

I'm down by Cincy...so a bit out of the question for you I think. lol I like it, the only issue I have is the lower grill. It appears to have that fixed half grill on either side (honeycomb look) and I don't want a billet grill up top and that on the bottom. Or I've seen some billet lower...

    Lowered...more shameless pics

thanks guys. yea I wasn't feelin the CS stickers, looked like a cheapo add on or something. Plus I like the clean look. And, the springs only lowered it about an inch, so not that aggressive but still a better stance, honestly I haven't noticed that much of a difference from the stock set up.

    Lowered...more shameless pics

sure...nowhere near the mod level of some of you animals but I'm still lovin it :nice: Installed the Roush springs I got from Krang00 today....then had to wash her up all pretty like. The dudes at the shop left their greasy fingerprints all over the car, so a wash was a must. Good thing it...

Awesome, will review. Also, what grill is that you have there? I would like a simple black billet grill which does the upper and lower portion, but also replaces the entire lower portion... The ones I have seen still leave those stock side honeycomb pieces which would clash with the new grill.

thanks guys :nice: not exactly my "buddy" though...cause a buddy wouldn't have charged me what he did to get it done. He's cool though, I took it back there today because in the sunlight there were a couple small spots where some glue reside remained after the GT/CS sticker was...

    Warranty..Hmm..

Just found this thread via a search. I was at my dealer today and inquired, it came out to about $1100 for the ESP which would take me to 75k miles I believe. Worth it IMO, and for $1100 it's good to have the piece of mind. Things can start to go after 50k or so I guess...I know on my Denali...

here is a pic of the hood I just snapped...keep in mind I drove around about 50 miles this morning already and the pollen here is ridiculous too...so probably not as shiny as it could be. But you can definitely tell it looks nice :D I'll continue with the hand washing and spray wax...

So I bought my 08 about a week ago? Anyways the PO didn't take real good care of the paint, looks like he went through the cheap gas station car washes. Lots of swirls (it's a black car so you know...), some scratches etc. I washed her up nice, even did a hand wax with meguiars and spray...

yea, last night I was on here and she was like "ANOTHER forum?" lol ah yes... Dropped the car off today, they are stripping it down and professionally waxing/clear coat or whatever it is they do, and removing the CA stripe on the side. Should be good for the summer :) The springs I ordered...

As a previous owner of other modded cars, and many sportbikes...I know how easy it is to get sucked into the mod fest = empty wallet = pissed off wife cycle. I have sworn to do a few simple mods to the stang and let it be. It's gonna be tough :rlaugh: So I put the pipes on, gonna lower it...
