    Any chance the oil sending unit is just faulty? But, if coolant gauge does same thing, might more likely be engine grounds? You have a strong ground battery to block, block to chassis?

    Leaks at the pcv can be more problematic. Does the pcv fit tight? Is the metal mesh screen still in place? Have you done a compresssion test? Sometimes, it can be pressure from the crankcase, blowing oil out the pcv. They can be tough to sort out…

    So you’ve narrowed down to where you suspect a single wire? Do you get continuity through the harness? Maybe just a bad connector in one of the plugs?
