Hatch Lock Retainer?

What am I missing here?
My Ford book shows a different style retainer clip, compared to what I can find available.

I can’t seem to find the style of clip that is shown in the Ford book?
The eBay pic seems to be what all the kits have?

And they are just slightly different than the door clips, Again, I have stuff, some obscure enough to be valuable, to some anyway.

Just seems crazy that none of the new hardware available, is the right hardware…

The door hardware may work for the trunk/hatch, I have not compared yet. That said there would not be a way to secure the clip with a rivit so it could be removed to gain entry.

I only glanced at the door clips a couple days ago, but it didn't look like it would work well either...
