    From the battery running, it's about 14.3dc volts pretty steady. Multimeters can only read small amps up to 10ac before the fuse blows, not designed for high current of any kind.

    Yeah, no way is it going to get changed till the engine gets pulled. Do you know what oil, oil weight or additive would be best to somewhat control the leak in the meantime?? Been using Mobil-1 10W30 high mileage.

    Yeah, the rear seal will be changed with all the other parts I have coming. Last replaced it about 14 years ago. Guess all the oil covering everything on the bottom is from the oil pan then.

    Yeah, but it took forever to clean the oil off the trans, bellhousing and every other part under there. It was covered with grit and oil!! Would like it to be clean and dry down there, but doesn't look like it will happen unless the engine gets pulled.

    Abs Light.

    Yes, when the key is switched it should go on to show that the bulb is working. Then if no probelms are found, the light will go off after a couple seconds.

    Hey guys, just bought an automatic 96 GT. The leather shift knob is in bad shape. Found a new stock one from ford, but it doesn't include the spring or button on the side. Anyone know if it is possible to easily remove those parts from the stock piece and put them on the new one??
