    Solid, thanks a lot Decurion! Do you know if there is any significant difference from '98 and on? The axle house told me they suggest '98 and newer. The only problem is I have found about 4 '97 donors, but nothing newer. Thanks again!

    Thanks Valley. Did you have to put any sort of "ring" between your axle retaining plate and axle bearing? The place that is assembly my axles said they needed to put a ring on... Sound familiar?

    I have the new style big bearing housing ends on the nine inch rear and am trying to track down a junk yard for the explorer rear disc swap. From my research it looks like a 1995-2001 explorer will work. Is that correct? Also anything to look out for while doing the swap? Thanks a lot...

    The shaft is exactly 44 inches from center to center of the u-joint arms attached directly to the shaft itself. I measureed by the clips that hold the joint in place, if that makes any sense... I can get other measurements if someone is willing to help. Just as clarification it's for a '67...
