    Nice kill! There seems to be more and more GTPs on the road. They need to know their place in the food chain. They will not beat a 99+ GT unless they do major mods, assuming the GT is stock.

    With my mods, it sounds like my best chance is 0-60 mph. With the gearing of the Firebird (LS1), a highway roll-on from 50-100 mph would be futile. It's time to go hunting. :)

    What Should Be My First Mod?

    I don't think that the springs and mufflers will add much performance. I did, however, forget rear end gears as a great first mod. Since the 4.6 lacks the low end torque of the 5.0, lower gears really wake it up. I love my 4.10s, and they were my first mod, after subframe connectors.

    The stock GTP (supercharged Grand Prix) puts out 260 bhp, weighs 3583 lbs, has a 3.29 gear ratio, and runs the 1/4 mile in 15.0 seconds. It will take more than a couple bolt-ons to "blow away" a stock 99+ GT, which runs 14.3 in the 1/4 mile.

    Three companies make LT headers for automatics: Hooker, Kooks, and MAC. I bought the Hooker LT headers for quality. Along with the Hooker o/r x-pipe, I gained 23 rwhp.
