    4.6 Thermostat replacement

Am I reading this correctly? You didn't add fluid through the crossover tube? If that is the case you need to fix that ASAP! Here's the method you should use to fill your coolant on a 4v: position your climate control to full hot. Pull the cap off the crossover tube and the cap off...

why doesnt it let me pass 130 mph...

Yes you can adjust your RPM limiter with most hand-held tuners...and if a tree gets in your way, it shouldn't have been there in the first place!

    Need Shocks

I run Lakewood Traction action bars...I love the design, but you have to enlarge the holes on the plates to use stock hardware. Good luck with the BBK units. Really ANY aftermarket control arm is a step up from our stamped steel crap!:nice:

why doesnt it let me pass 130 mph...

I'm just guessing here...You have an Auto which is speed limited to somewhere around that area. Also, to be frank...you probably shouldn't be going 130mph anyway.

I think bilstein makes a quality replacement quad shock... But as others have posted, most aftermarket control arms say to ditch the quad shocks after instal

    Need Shocks

Yeah that's a major problem, Ford changed the size from 12mm to 14mm in '99 Never buy a set of lower control arms advertised for 79-04 if you own a 99+ car! As far as rear shocks...I run Tokico 5-ways with the right side a little stiffer than the left. They work okay, but if I had the...

    rearend question

You do not have to remove the pinion gear to remove the posi itself(the trac-loc unit)...so you shouldn't have to adjust pinion depth. You will (amongst other things) have to xfer your old ring gear to your new posi and have to set-up the backlash again, as well as shimming. There's a lot...

    Strange 10-Ways

I can take corners just fine with my 90/10's so I think you'd be fine with the 10 ways. FWIW, I think the strut for you would be D-specs...I don't like 'em, but I think they'd suit your driving needs.

    Drag radials on stock rims

Get Nitto 275-40-17 DR's...they run a slightly narrower sidewall than BFG's or MT's and will buldge less on a stock 17x8. M/T DR's in the same size will fit with a slightly larger buldge, but will wear out quicker than the nitto's

    Chambered vs. unchambered mufflers?

I had to ditch my SLP LMI's due to the fact I got stopped for noise. WHile I loved the sound, it was way to much for a DD. I switched to Flo-wasters and while its not as aggressive sounding it still sounds good. Really its to subjective to say straight through is better than chambered...

    Anti-freeze Leak? Please help!

Man any other car and I would've said you blew a head gasket, popped a radiator hose or something like that... But after replacing two intakes on my old '97 GT I'd have to say you busted your intake! Just another thank you from Ford!

Front Brake Grind- felt through pedal.. 2004 GT..

a slight whirr maybe, but a grind??? Heck no. Is it only when braking? Or does it occur when you turn the wheel as well? No squeaking or squeeling, just a grind? I know my ABS is really touchy and sometimes I'll get the pedal vibration from that, but never a grinding feeling.
