    Miles acumulate fast and reason mines got 218,000 i believe cause its been and still is my daily driver!!!!!! Not good to allow a car to sit not good at all!!!!:p

    Cause engines so strong it,s expected anyways gm wouldnt even mate a 5 speed to their 350 in their 3rd gens . These trannys have to put up with a lot and 218,000 miles behind that 5.0 would break any tranny no matter how its driven its a lot a torque even stock!!!!!

    in 10 yrs i downshifted like that not many times and guess i could have blown mine too that way. i blew mine by reving it high after mistakenly putting it in 1st it wasn't in all the way it popped out boom and that was that!!!!:nonono:

    I believe these foxes can be cheaper on parts less complex than later years models and i believe easier to work on less costly than the LT-1,s ot Ls-1,s also many ricers as well!!!

    Im contemplating repairs and bucks and inconvienence of restoring as things wear out in an over 200,000 mile fox. Thats versus say a lower mileage fox ,sn95 or what are th e 99,ups called. I see prices are pretty low for even say 96-99 cobras . I figuring that if i start that nickle and dime...

    you guys must have lots of mods to do that and or are just banging gears i dunno my t-5 went 218,000 miles befor i snapped the main shaft . But the gears were beautiful though and reused

    :rolleyes: Stangsters just spent 1,600 on a rebuilt 5spd!!! Now my exhaust is rattling, vibrating!!! Turnsout to be an old set aof flowmasters from a chevy with the inlets and outlets in line!! Problem is the rubber part of the stock hangar is stretched ready to snap and pulling the mufflers...

    :rolleyes: first i got an1989 5.0 engine and car Id like to know if anyone know s a good rebuilder in the S.F. bay area? I,d like to know if anyone s gone to any machine shops around here and had their engines rebuilt? Id, wonder for a stock rebuild costwise? Any ideas would be good...
