    Will 2008 wheels fit a 96?

The bolt pattern may be the same but the offset is all wrong.

    AVIC D3 Antenna Location

Plastic will not effect the performance of the nav antenna, but it is best to have the XM antenna on the dash or outside the car somewhere. It you hide the XM antenna I can assure you that it will fade out more frequently when you pass under big trees and bridges and stuff.

Pre-Built Custom Sub Box for Mach 460

That thing is pretty small for two subs. After subtracting woofer displacement it's only about .5 cubic foot per sub. Unless you have a really big amp you won't have too much deep bass with most subs. The price looks good if the build quality is nice though.

Pre-Built Custom Sub Box for Mach 460

I assume you have a coupe? Why do you want to have two seperate boxes made? I'm sure you can find a shop that will build you one box for both subs for much less than $380.00, but both the boxes in the links would probably work fine for those subs.

    Rear speaker wire harness connection

I'm not sure exactly where the wires are, I think that they both run down the drivers side, but if you have the interior out I would just run new wires from the deck to the back. Aftermarket 16 guage speaker wire is a lot better than stock wire on a 15 year old car anyway.

    Question for Supradude26

I don't have the dimensions for the area, but as you can see in the pictures I made the box for a single 10" sub. I don't think that there is any way you can "hide" two 13" subs in a vert, let alone a coupe being that you will need a box that is about 1.6 cubic feet for a pair of those subs. The...

    Double din???

I dont have any pics of the ones that I have done, but I will try to explain a little better. I did not use a kit, just the double din trim ring that came with the deck. The key thing is to get the deck mounted to the subdash in the perfect spot so when you snap the 2003 bezel on it is perfectly...

    2003 mach deck replacement

I have a Alpine 9813 with the fully adjustable high/low crossovers and when I first installed it into my 2003 with the mach system I tried several different ways to try to get the best sound. The problem is that the stock tweeters do not have crossovers on them, and they do not run off an amp. I...

    Double din???

I've done it several times. What you need to do is buy a dash bezel for a newer Mustang (2002, 2003 etc) that has the double din opening, then you have to cut a bit of the subdash to get it to fit properly. Once you get the bezel to fit the dash, you need to mount the double din to the subdash...

    Really weird amp problem...

To answer your last questions, some amps will power on with no ground wire because they see a ground path on the RCA shield that is grounded in the deck. As far as the main problem you are having, I assume you were doing you troubleshooting when the deck was on and the amps were "not working"...

2000 Mustang How to remove car stereo ground wire?

If it's the single wire that has a black clip on the end which is attatched to a flat pin on the back of the stock radio, you need to bend it out to roughly 90 degress, and press the tab that you pulled out. It doesn't matter if you break it because you will not use it when you install the new...

    Mach 460

The 96 Mustang Mach system has 3 amps, one for the tweeters that is located behind the deck, and the two that are in the trunk are for the door speakers and rear speakers. Sounds to me like it's time to get 4 new speakers and bypass the amps.

    gps navigation

When it comes to in-dash GPS units that are single din, the best way to go would be the Kenwood KVT-512 (around $550.00) slideout touchscreen with the Kenwood KNA-G510 (around $400.00) add-on nav. I have heard that Kenwood is soon to be releasing a sigle din slideout with the nav built in, but I...

    replacing entire mach 460 system

What year is your car? Is it a coupe or vert? The Alpine Type R speakers are nice, but I would get different sizes to make the install easier. The PDX amp is really nice and has a lot of power so you're good there. I'm not a fan of the self powered sub setup as they don't have as much output as...

Can someone just show me what connectors to buy!

The cheapest way to do it is to buy the Metra 70-5511 harness and wire it to the deck and plug it in. It will be very volume sensitive being that the stock deck has low level outputs and the new decks are high power. If you get a PAC OEM-1 and install it between the deck and the Metra harness...

They look like Pioneer 3 ways to me.

Can you tell me what I got?

The best way to upgrade your sound is to gut everything. You can add just a new deck and use the stock speakers, but you won't get much improvement in sound. The dash speakers are 3.5", the doors are 6" and the rears are 5x7". When I put new speakers in the Foxbodies, I use 6" seperates in the...

Pioneer head unit in Mach 1000

Does it only crackle right when he starts the car? Or is it always making the sound. If it is only a quick poping noise it should be easy to fix by adding a resistor on the remote turn on lead. If the noise continues for a few seconds this method will not help and you probably have some bad...
