    GT500 coming back for 2026?

We already have the Mustang GTD, a true track car. The new GT500 should be more Drag Race oriented. I would like it to be a S/C Godzilla engine It should eclipse 1K power I hope it does not have to drag 4K+ lbs down the track. The new ZR1 Corvette makes over 1K power on pump gas, no reason Ford...

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

With any luck, Interest rates will go down as time goes on. There is a huge housing bubble that could pop shortly. Tens of thousands of loans that should have foreclosed are being propped up by the Government due to policies from the last administration. Those loans should have never been made...

    400HP 2V N/A....Going back to my roots....

Given the number of combinations available to build an engine, it is no wonder that most OTS camshaft don't achieve max potential. You would have to have a catalog of hundreds of thousands camshafts to meet every variant. Which is why when "most" people build a max effort build, or a serious...

    400HP 2V N/A....Going back to my roots....

Normal bolt on engines don't make max N/A HP. That is the nature of a stock/mostly stock build. Max N/A HP requires Max HP parts, not just the camshaft.

    HP woes with Sniper Sytem

Duel plane intake manifolds do not work well with throttle body FI systems like the Sniper. An open spacer under the Sniper would help, But the best driveability/power would be with an Single plane Intake manifold. T-body injection and duel plane manifolds have huge distribution problems.

    Brake issues again smh

OP has an 84, it would have a carb. A large enough vacuum leak, like from a booster would likely cause the engine to stall.

Detroit Speed SLA - Anyone See This???

Or Big Block swaps. Hell, I like the no strut tower idea even for my SBF racecar. Headers would be much easier to service, spark plug access with 2" primary headers. Lots of ways getting rid of the strut towers could be beneficial. I wonder if there is a weight change. If it is lighter than a...

P0443 : what to do with this nightmare ?

Need to do a smoke test of the evap system. The canister purge valve opens based on a preset system pressure/vacuum. If the parameters for the purge valve operation are not met, then it will not turn on/off. The parameters are not being met because it has a leak in the evap system.

Ever Watched VGG? Good Time to Start

I have a very jaded view of all of those shows. They are 99% done for entertainment with no real basis in reality. I came to this conclusion 20 or so years ago when the shop I was at had ESPN come and do an episode of "On the Block" It was based on purchasing a "Barn Find" and getting it running...

Fox Ford 351w Upper and Lower Intake

The OP did say it was for a 393 cid build. That intake should work just fine on the street. 393 = 6.44 L Larger than most LS engines.

Resolved 1990 GT Convertible - Very clunky ride!

Shocks/struts determine ride quality, Not the spring. Unless the spring has way to high of a lb/in rate.

    Rear end

That's a nice kit. Wish it was available when I built my 8.8 Oh yeah, get a billet yoke. And one of these: https://www.strangeengineering.net/product/ford-8-8-adjustable-pinion-preload-spacer.html/

    Rear end

The 8.8 tubes need to be welded to the center section. The axle ends need to be converted to 9" large bearing "Torino" ends. The axle tubes need to be braced. You need to switch to 35 spline axles. Billet carrier caps need to be used. I use the Baseline Suspensions kit...

Engine Re-torquing intake manifold bolts question

Yes. You will find that they are all "loose" By loose, I mean that if they were torqued to 20 lb/ft you will find that they are at 16-18 lb/ft after everything has cooled off. I have found this to be so even after the initial torque an hour later. The gskt takes a set, the manifold settles. I...
