bummer. it was a 351 crate engine. it was 1800 for the long block. am i write in this, that the 5.0 heads fit, but that the head bolt holes just would need to be drilled out to the 351 size of 7/16"? then go superchargeed, i think that would be a mean street car. obvi :hail2: usly the S-351 is.
edelbrock has a setup, but its around 2000$. not too bad really depending on how much you have in the motor. i would like to go that route for turbo or supercharging purposes.
really, thats all? easier than i thought. is a swap like reasonable for the current mustang models? i have found the 351 engine new with warranty for around a grand. i was told the 5.0 heads fit, just have to have the head bolts drilled out to the right size. if thats the case then i can...
Most definitely. what kind of power would that setup make? i was looking at edelbrocks website and there power packages are kickin out around 360-380 hp. not bad
got some questions for yall. i read up on the S351 and was wondering how hard it would be to swap a 351 into a 5.0L. is it possible to shoehorn somehting like this into a 99-up mustang? http://www.automotix.com/engines_by...351WHOLB-1.html
if so, how would one go about setting it up with EFI...
thanks i posted there too, as well as saleen. good tip, i had completely forgot the lightning had one in it, you could probably rip the whole setup more or less. of course i love the 5.4, but it is too much $$$ for me. a 5.8 swap is in the range though. so get the 351 block, and i can put on...
got some questions for yall. i read up on the S351 and thought it was aa abda#$ car. is it possible to shoehorn somehting like this into a 99-up mustang? http://www.automotix.com/engines_by...351WHOLB-1.html

well then dont drived one. the LS1 feels like a caged animal. even behind the auto it felt like it wanted to leap through the hood. you can thank an extra liter of displacement for that. stock to stock the car is much faster. but the mustang is more of a drivable car and highher quality...
well i drove a mustang and a ws6 on lunch break    biggest **** eatin grin in the world right now. trans am had crazy power. it was a real beast. drove the auto, salesman wasn't too happy when i got all sideways under throttle around a turn :rlaugh: :nonono...
how do the 99 cobras stack up? i am thinking either a mach 1, a 99 cobra, or a 99 gt with the future( crosses fingers) Cobra Killer twin turbo on it. handling i will take care of through steeda. how do these cars ride after suspension mods? do they maintain a decent ride?
i agree. long tubes for a t/a are over a 1000 or so. crazy. it seems the mustang is a better built car and will serve my needs better than a t/a. plus i can customize the way i want it, and not look like everyone else. :nice:
yeah the ls1's are relativey inexpensive to mod. they really are monsters. but i agree, there are quality issues. i have a second job in a detail shop and both the interior and paint have problems. the mustang is much more a drivers car. i think the mach 1 is at the top of my list, but i...
wow i didnt realize the price was so low. that is something to think of. i am leaning on the 99 gt, just love how they look with the cobra r goodies. and i couldnt do that to a new car under warranty. well i could, but it would be awful irresponsible, lol. the ws6 is a sweet car, but i do...
that was kind of hat i was thinking. body kit, twin turbo, dss forged block, steeda suspension. i like the cobra R hood, front end, and wing, but with the cervinis stalker side skirts, scoops, and rear bumper. how does that set up sond?
