    I AM BACK!

So what did you dislike about the Bimmer? Other than the fact that it's boring looking and overpriced and that everyone who sees you driving one will think you're a yuppie dork...

    all-time fastest N. American cars

Yeah, well it's a 1,975 pound go cart. The original Euro version was around 1,500 pounds. Definitely wouldn't want to be rear-ended by a Suburban driving soccer mom in one of those...

    Traction Control Woes

Don't be afraid of your car. Just study driving technique and work on your skills as a safe driver. Lots of local tracks offer teen drivers classes for a few hundred bucks. Probably less than one month of insurance for you on that car.

    05/06 seats

Seems like the Premium V6 has the same seats as all the V8 cars. But yes, some have airbags. http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/

    Traction Control Woes

It's all relative, it's all about knowing the limits of your car. Traction control just allows you to be going even faster before your car leaves the road. I suggest your parents invest some of the money they used to buy you that nice fast car in driving lessions (on a track). My first car...

    more Challenger photos

Car & Driver has an article in their upcoming February issue and they are reporting it's freakin huge! 197.8 inches long--an inch longer than the 300C. 116 inch wheelbase (compared to 120 for the 300C and 107 for the new Mustang). And they're guessing around 4100 pounds. So this isn't really a...

your thoughts on the Red Interior

I like it on other people's cars. For my car, though, it's gotta be black.

Can't get over my V8 envy.

Get the GT. After all, "it's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done..."

    Hertz v Budget

Just book with both--I usually book with two or three and then just go to the one with the shortest line. I bet either Hertz or Budget will have one in SF, but it's always hard for them to guarantee anything. The Hertz in San Jose had tons of them when I was there last month.

why did Ford let the Lincoln LS die?

Here's an article on it. http://www.detnews.com/2005/autosinsider/0508/25/C01-289382.htm Like you said, they never bothered to re-do it.

why did Ford let the Lincoln LS die?

This car/platform had a lot of potential, got great reviews, and Ford just lets it die. Look at the success DC is having with their new RWD cars. Ford just needed to freshen the styling, bump up the HP and do some decent marketing. Lame... :notnice:
