    Wash your car, your body shop gave you some extremely bad advice. Make sure you use a good quality car wash and wash mitt. The softer the better. No dish washing detergent. That is too harsh for car finishes and even worse for new paint.

    Sounds like you may have the premium sound option and the factory amp isn't coming on. It may not be powered up with the aftermarket harness. Just a guess.

    Just curious, why are you replacing the SC 3.8? If you want good gas mileage and 300 RWHP just turn up the boost. You can pretty much do that with a pulley upgrade and some misc. parts. Way cheaper and you hit your goals overnight.

    You can use the same pinion and carrier shims. 99% of the time when you use FRPP or stock Ford gears you can leave the carrier shims alone. Generally, the existing pinion shim will be used on the new pinion gear. Here is a link for the Master Housing Dimension method Link

    Just be carefull. I have the launch kit in mine along with 90/10 struts and 50/50 shocks. Use caution on the highway or bumpy roads. The front will stay up in the air longer than you are used to with a stock suspension. Other than that, It rides pretty damn nice.

    Caliper is bad. During normal operation the piston stays within a very short throw range. A ridge can build up there over time. When you compress the piston into the bore that built up ridge is now in there causing interferrence. It is pretty common.

    well the test is supposed to be done on a warm engine first of all. Tolerances on the rings and pistons close as they come up to operating temperature.

    How much did it cost to get your gears installed?
