    you can put a toggle in line with the trigger wire to the relay, but if you want to use a existing switch you need a relay. i once did a mustang that you had to push the unlock button te engage the fuel pump relay, it was a latching relay. i used to love doing alarms back in the day,

    i dont suggest using the old radar plug, reason being, you will have to isolate the lighter from ground, put a push button in there, safe off the power wire (center prong of the lighter) and the ground female connector that is not insulated. find the white/pink coming off the igniton switch...

    i had a similar problem as posted in the past. turned out to be bad intake gasket. exhaust from the egr ports on the head was blowing into the valley due to the wrong gasket being used.
