    wheel and tire question

If I recall correctly, yes they will fit....with some really thick spacers. Somewhere in the 1"-1 1/2" thick area. Which I think is crazy to use. I went with some 17x8 Torque thrust "M" with "0" offset. I'm also running 2008 front disc conversion so I need the larger diameter wheel.

Post your Average Fuel Mileage and Car here.

My '88gt would get a best of 22 (low of 18) on the highway cruising at 75, stock 5.0L aluminum driveshaft, 5 speed and 3.55 gears. With 2.73 gears it was worse. I would stick with the 3.40 gear set with the t-5. Don't go with anything numerically lower.

    My nuts are stuck...

I assume you are talking about the rear upper arms, since the '89 doesn't have front uppers from the factory... See if you can find a "nut splitter"..a divorce or break-up from a long term girlfriend cannot be replaced for said "nut-splitter":D. Check your local tool supplier/wholesaler...

    Control arm shims

When I took my front end apart, I made sure to keep the shims separated so I could put them back when the new arms where installed. My car wasn't running when purchased, so I have no clue how it actually steered....rolled great.. If you have a slight clue of where they when, do your...
