Any downsides to smaller overall tire height from stock?

I'm planning on ordering my wheels today. I decided on 19's over 20's since the selection of tires for 20's really seems to suck. I want to run at least 255's in the front and 295's in the rear, and if I want to do that on a set of 20's, it means losing about an inch to inch and a half of...

Do wheels make or break a car?

My problem with 20's is that I can't find the right size tires for them. Shouldn't I be trying to stay with the same overall height as the stock tires (27")? I would like at LEAST 255's in front and 295's out back, which I haven't been able to line up for a set of 20's yet. Kris

Do wheels make or break a car?

I'm in yet another dilemma with my SEMA Project. First the hood, now the wheels... My budget took a bit of a hit this weekend when I took my 71 Chevelle back to the paint shop for an overhaul and new paint job (it needed it, BAD.) Unfortunately, the part of my budget that took the hit was...

Torn on which hood to go with...

If the powers the be allow me to give you guys a peek, I will do it. Not sure if we want to hype it up or hope to make an impact at the show. We'll see. I will keep taking pictures as I go though!

Torn on which hood to go with...

I dig the 3D Carbon hood...but it's been "In Development" for almost a year now. I've pretty much decided on the RK Sport CA Dream hood. Kris

    Supercharged Gt's

I'll be daily driving my ProCharged 05 too. Still waiting on the kit, but if I was stubborn enough to drive a darn-near Pro-Street Chevelle to school every day, I can handle a supercharged 05. :D Can't wait... Kris

Torn on which hood to go with...

I just went over to California Mustang and checked out the California Dream hood. VERY NICE. I think I may end up going with that one. Thanks for all the input folks, I appreciate it! Kris

Torn on which hood to go with...

Yeah...I'll get right on it. :notnice: Already have a ProCharger going on it anyway. Those fit UNDER the hood.

Torn on which hood to go with...

Okay, this might be another throw-away post, but here goes: I'm finishing up the body mods for my 05 SEMA project. The mechanical mods are going on over the next few weeks (14" Wilwoods from Precision Brakes, tires, wheels, ProCharger, etc.) but I need to cap the body mods off with a custom...

    A Different Question

Forget turbos! Turbo lag = :notnice: But then again, most centrifugals have to build boost too. The surge on my Chevelle's ProCharger sounds pretty cool. I haven't heard it on the 05 kit in person yet. Give me another 2 weeks. :D Kris

    A Different Question

    1. Turbos have blow-off valves that make that sound. 2. Centrifugal superchargers have surge valves that make a similar sound. 3. Ricers have fake blow-off valves that make a fake sound and makes them look like idiots. I recommend you choose either option 1 or 2. Forget about number 3...

    Precision Brakes Company

Holy useless post, Batman. Why are they so funny?

    Not-pretty Mustangs

On the bright side, most of the atrocities are happening to the V6 models. Nothing against them but hey, a sale for the Mustang at least. Without defacing the hard to come by GT's. Kris

    Precision Brakes Company

Exactly. The stock brakes are great and all, but with some 05's hitting 450-500hp, they're going to need some serious stopping power. Kris

    Precision Brakes Company

Hey folks, I just wanted to make a post about one of my sponsors, Precision Brakes Company. They have been kind enough to set me up with a set of brakes for my Mustang SEMA Project. There hasn't been too much buzz around here about upgraded brakes, so here's some info on the setup I'll be...

Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Most likely a set of 14" w/4-piston's all around from Precision Brakes Company They use Wilwood calipers and in-house manufactured rotors, similar to what Baer did with Alcon and PBR. They have a kit for the '05 and can do some pretty cool powdercoating work on their brakes too. I'm running a...

Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Glad you guys like it! I'm finishing up several deals this week that include brakes and a supercharger for the car, so with any luck, I'll have a lot more to share very soon! Kris

Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Hey John, I hear ya on the wheels. I am planning 20's all around, but haven't settled on a company. I'm currently looking at GfG, CCW, iForged, Forgeline, or possibly even talking to Billet Specialties about doing another set of one-offs. It's a tough decision, so I haven't rushed into it. I...

Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Hey folks, I just wanted to post some pictures of my 05 now that is out of the body shop. The good folks at Street Scene set me up with their AWESOME body kit. This thing fits like a glove and is made out of urethane. I was a little skeptical at first because I've seen how some body kits fit...

    Chip Foose '05 Mustang

They're not bad, but the engines are a disappointment. It's tough with a new car though, but you'd think some kind of engine cover would be there. Seems some of Chip work is being dilluted by the popularity of the name/brand. He's being stretched really thin by putting his name on a lot and his...
