    Sell Cobra For A Fox

I think the question is "what are you looking for". Even a really nice fox, is an OLD car. Finding a nice fox for a decent price is something you are going to be a challenge in itself.

It's Been A Long Long Time...

Same here. It sure has slowed down in this section. I have noticed it in other forums too. I don't think it's the layout as much as that since the new 5.0 DOHC in the new mustang came out, interest in these old cars has dropped.

When to switch to Synthetic Oil in '12 5.0?

I know that Mobil 1, Amsoil, and Royal Purple are the only true synthetics. I don't know about Redline brand. For the price it better be. I would really say to use synthetics. There are HUGE advantages of it. I don't think changing to synthetic will halt any break in process.

    Oil Questions

For conventional oil I would run either a 10w30 or 5w30. Synthetics open up a whole new spectrum. I'm running M1 0W40. Instant oil pressure and less noise on cold start up, plus quieter at high rpms.

    Diesel Kills! Let's see them!

It seems the sooped up diesel truck thing is the rich redneck rice. Yes there are fast diesel trucks. There are also fast civics. Lots of both, few and far between is a fast one. There are true gear heads and then there are just posers. Anyone can plug in a programmer and hit "program"...

Are monroe shocks a decent choice for my car?

Like said before Monroe are "stock replacements" and geared more for comfort, but they are much better than what Ford put on there even when they were new, and considering the age and miles on the car, they will be so much better. Shocks/Struts job is to keep the tire on the road. The shop...

    Big oops. Hood flew up.

Digit to put the hood pins in. Long story. Hood came up and smashed the cowl. I am thinking of options to fix this mishap. It's not a daily driver. I never use the wipers anyways. I deleted the HVAC. I am thinking of installing a solid panel. I really don't see extensive body work being done...

    Tuning EFI vs. carb conversion

Although I have always had EFI vehicles, I will say that carb is much cheaper. Carbs are easy to tune, and cheap to tune. Devaluing the car, like the cars are worth that much, as thought these are good investments, but it will be unsellable to someone where there is smog testing, but once you...

    What kind of oil?

This is a tricky subject, I've looked into it extensively. The main thing is to keep it clean and uncontaminated. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/whad-kinda-earl-ya-runnin.844797/ An important note, use a quality filter. That is just as important as the oil. The FL1A Ford...

Car has been sitting, runs funny now. video

It could be the difibulator valve on the flux capasitor going bad. Better change it because if you think it sucks breaking down on the side of the road, think of how it will feel breaking down on the side of the road in 1830.

    Catalytic Converters help :(

Have you hooked a vacuum gauge to the manifold? If so what does it do? What are the readings? At idle? At 2500rpm? Is it stable or does it bounce around? If it bounces a lot, that can be an issue, sign of valve train issues. If the vaccuum decreases at 2000rpm, you have a clog.

    Control arms on a budget?

Price vs. Value. How I look at it is that it's good to save money, but if you pay 20% more and are 80% happier then it is money well spent, and that cheaper part would have been a rip-off. Pay a little more, get a lot more, pay a little less, get a lot less. Welding up some stock control...

Should I trade for an ls1???? Am I crazy?

I had a '97 Camaro Z28. I can say a lot about it, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it as much as the Fox.

    Fox Bodies :)

Oh, one more thing.... if you like the hatch then feel free to love it. I have known SO many people who loved Hatches, then they start getting into these internet communities and get brainwashed by the notch/coupe crowd that coupe's are so special, then suddenly it's "coupe's man, coupes"...

    Fox Bodies :)

79-93 were all the same platform, there were just little differences every year. These differences were generally improvements. These cars are all 19-33 years old now, so finding a strong platform is the #1 goal. It all depends on what you plan to do to it. If you are just going to drive it...

Please take alook and sign this petition for import laws on cars.

What is this about cars being siezed and for exactly what? I think homeland security needs to be investigated for this, and if they can't explain exactly a really good reason the money is spent on customs, somebody needs to go to the big house for a few years.

WOW, found this and had to share!!

The blue one looks almost as good as a 3rd gen camaro. When I say good, I mean bad. The others must be what the Mitsu designers used as inspiration when designing the Evo's.

ford reintroduces the 65 mustang some assy required

I am sure you could find a near perfect shell of a mustang for much less than that, and when you are done, you would actually have a real mustang. A mustang built with that body will always be a "fake" and I don't know how you would register it, especially if there are emmissions laws.
