    Cleaning lacey wheels- any ideas?

    The rim part is clean, and polishes up nice, but the insides of the spokes are rough and corroded. I want to paint the insides of the spokes silver so they don't just corrode up again, but I need to clean them so the paint will stick. I was just wondering if someone had a trick for doing this .

    Cleaning lacey wheels- any ideas?

    How the )(#&)$#* do you clean between the spokes on these lacey wheels? All of the dremel type wire brushes I have found that actually fit are too small and soft to do much good. Is there a trick to this? Should I blast them with a fine media? :shrug:

    I think the ones you're after were made by a company called Appliance Wheels back in the 70's. They also made a 14 inch lacy spoke that's a dead ringer for the stock II lacys. Re: the 74 parking light idea, that's what I did on my Ghia convertible project. Looks great.
