    best way to install t5

That is how I have always had to do it...But dont make the mistake I made ther first time I swapped trannys...I filled the trans with fluid...and you know how the rest goes...I was covered in ATF ( which is red) and walked in the house to change my shirt .....wife freaked! she thought I had...

    best way to install t5

You have to put the bellhousing on the engine first, then install the trans. You would never be able to bolt it if you attached the bell to the trans and tried to get in as a whole unit.:nice:

Will this help? Should I get it?

Yeah go for it, it wont hurt and will be good for future upgrades ( supercharger!). But I would get the Crane HI-6,I have had both and the Crane outperformed, and outlasted the MSD everytime... IMO.

    Mustang Dash Speakers 90 5.0

:nono: Yeah the guy at Crutchfield was right, this is not the correct way to do it. Your deck is equipped to handle a 4 ohm load, by wiring 2 4ohm speakers in paralell, you are creating a 2 ohm load which will put excessive strain on the internal amplifier in your deck. It could be done, but to...

    Mustang Dash Speakers 90 5.0

I would reccomend you get a good 5.25 component set, put the drivers in the doors, mount the crossovers behind the kickpanels, and put the tweeters in the stock 3.5" locations. You will have to build a mounting plate for the using some ABS plastic, but it is a simple install, and the factory...

Change to Automatic or keep stick shift

I'm with him, the auto will be more consistant, but since you like the stick, stick with it. Yes, you will have to spend some$$$ to get a beefier trans but your car is already set up for it, so you would probbably save money in the long run.....IMO.

Quick, coolant on top of intake, appears to be coming from heater core lines? Come in

bypass the heater core temporarely and see what happens...As for running hot, is the thermostat opening/installed correctly...sounds stupid, but I have seen them installed incorrectly many times! Also, do you have the throttle body cooling lines connected to the TB or did you bypass it..your...

plan to build a driveshaft safety loop.

Yeah I paid somewhere around that for mine ( its a lakewood). For the money it would be more of a pain in the a** to do all the cutting, drilling, and bending than it would be worth...plus, correct me if I am wrong, don't they have to pass tech?

    Fan and Shroud Removal ??

Just give it a tap with a mallet and the shroud and fan will lift off easily together. To avoid a possible mess, I would go ahead and take off the coolant res. and drain it. good luck with the last bolt...thers is always one that has to be a p.i.t.a.!

Need diagnosis for sudden 5 sp. man. trans. problem

Still think the clutch is f'd as the harmonic balancer or the engine mount would not cause your trans to engage hard. easy way to check you engine mount would be to have a buddy get in the car and rev the crap out of it while you watch the engine...you should be able to tell if there is a prob...

no mufflers cause less throttle response??

This is a street driven car, right? If so a little back pressure= a good thing...for overall drivability, torque, and throttle response..IMO, and do you really prefer the way open exh. sounds over a nice low rumble...Not trying to flame you or critique your preferences, but if you want a free...

Need diagnosis for sudden 5 sp. man. trans. problem

Do you know when the clutch was last replaced? I feel that is your problem..All of the symptoms you have outlined are good indicators that the clutch is not properly engaging or needs replaced. A decent way to find out if it is slipping is to get on the highway, and at about 45-50 MPH put the...
