    Gouged by the dealership

My fuel level sending unit went bad. The Ford dealer wants $77.00 plus tax for a new one. I always feel that I'm taking it up the rear when I buy parts from them. A couple years ago I had the gas tank out to repair a leak and I broke one of the retaining clips/nuts. New nuts come in...

Anybody know why my balancer did this? (pics)

You could have had a disaster there! That balancer must have had a crack/defect in it from the manufacturer. Can you return it and get your money back? You should probably replace the front seal just to be sure it didn't get torn up by the crack.

    Need help recalibrating speedometer

The other problem with the white gear is that it gets chewed up and leaves little pieces of plastic teeth in your tranny. I heard the white gear is really for a chrysler. I have the red gear now and do the math to figure my speed.

    Cheep H Pipe

I'm partial to the Turbo Whistler myself: http://www.prestostore.com/catalog.php/www.soundturbocharged.com/ct307 Someone said "think of them as fake boobies for a car."

    well *****.......

If you pull your oil filter off, are there metal shavings on the top? If so, you might have problems. If you just have some fine silvery dust-like stuff in the oil in the bottom of the pan, like 69clark said, it's probably normal wear. Do you have a magnetic drain plug?

If you street race in Virginia you may lose your car if caught!

It has nothing to do with eminent domain-taking of private property for public use (a highway) or the good of the general public (razing the Poletown neighborhood in Detroit and building a Cadillac factory to provide jobs). When you use your car in the commission of a crime--bank robbery, drug...

Anyone know how much I could get for this, or how it works?

Taxi cabs have them and around here sometimes you see ex-cop cars that have been auctioned off that still have them on.

How to get a 5.0L to spin to 7k RPM?

How about a non-roller 302 with a solid cam, a good set of heads and a carb? Back in the 70's I had a solid lifter 350 Chevy (3.48" stroke) with stock rotating assembly that I shifted at 7000 and it would rev to 8k.

Thank GOD I am a City Cop! News Story Inside

Howard Stern had a transexual on his show who had cut off his package at home, took pictures of the whole process and posted them on the internet. Talk about sick!!!

Any differences in a 5.0L from an '89 ford van?

I thought that they were also non-roller cam motors and had 28 oz imbalance.

Are the 94-95 mustang timing covers the same as those on explorers/mountaineers?

Is the bolt pattern for the water pump pulley different? I bought a cover and pump off e-bay and the holes in my pulleys were a smaller bolt circle than the ones in the new pump.

    Battery Relocation ?'s

I got the Summit kit and didn't like the plastic box much either. The rest of the kit worked great. I had a piece of thin guage channel iron laying around that I notched, bent and welded into a battery tray. I welded the studs from the kit onto it, painted it up and bolted it into the trunk...

    The ugliest mustang EVER

I saw a 95 GTS last Friday that had 14" rims with the same hubcaps that came on my Mom's Saturn. I don't think the guy had a clue as to how gay that made him.

    Headers

I've got the Hooker non-equal length shorties on my car. They cost more than BBK but they are worth it. I've owned a lot of different brands but have always found the fit and quality of Hooker Headers to be exceptional.

    $800 Cobra Intake? WTF?

That guy's out of touch with reality if he thinks anyone is going to "buy it now." With that $800 you could go to Summit or Jegs and buy any of their efi manifolds brand new,get an inlet adapter brand new for $90, and still wind up with over $100 in your pocket. He hasn't even got anyone to...
