Where do I start for a total rebuild of 68 coupe

Ray's Radiator and Hot Rod shop in Warren, MI is where I had mine stripped. He is half the price of anyone else around, but he is very busy. They will give you a great deal if you are not in a hurry and you let him do it as fill in work. Are you in Detroit or a surrounding area? I know a few...

You guys with '69-'70, have you seen Year One's new guage cluster?

CJ Pony Parts has the JME cluster for the 69-70 on sale Monday 12-11-06 only. It is an overstock sale, so I would assume they have them in stock.

    Unisteer Rack & Pinion

I could be wrong, but I thought the EFI motors in Fox bodies are rear sump pans? The shape is the same, but the deep part of the pan is in the rear of the motor instead of the front? Anyone know? If I get a chance this week I take some pics of the rack and post them. My car doesn't...

    twist style hood locks

This is probably a dumb question, but here goes. Anyone change the hood pins on a 1969 mustang to the twist style from a 1970? What does in take to do something like that? My car is getting ready for paint and I really like the 70 style locks, so any help would be great. Thanks!!

    Unisteer Rack & Pinion

I called Summit and was told that they get their part numbers direct from Unisteer, so if 800088001 is a *67-70 kit on the Unisteer website it is the same at Summit. The salesman told me that the description on the Summit site is just wrong.

    Unisteer Rack & Pinion

The '68 version came out first. P/n is UIS-800088001, but summit listed it as a 65 chrome version. the chrome 65 p/n is UIS-800087002. These are unisteer part numbers not summit.

    Media Blasting

I had my 69 stripped at Ray's Radiator and Hot Rod Shop in Warren, MI. I stripped it down and supplied the Primer. They charged me about $550 last year. Ray is very friendly and will work with your budget, but they are always very backed up so it may take a while to get finished. Anoter palce I...

Anyone know what happened to FOMOCO.com?

I think that is the important part. Ford OK'd this and now years later want to take it back. It not fair. I guess working with that old fart Shelby again screwed with their heads over in the glass house. Did you guys read that Shelby is going after the Mustang crowd now that he is done with the...

    DB Performance Engineering

Yeah. I am trying to build a tauras rack right now and I thought it looked similar. I think it is a caravan rack, because the rack is different than the tauras racks I looked at. The article said the crossmember was adjustable to eliminate bumpsteer so I was curious on how that worked. I was...

    DB Performance Engineering

I got the new issue of Mustang Monthly and they have a Tech on Rack & Pinions did anyone see it yet? They have one from DB Performance, but when I look at the website listed I don't think its the right place. Does anyone know the website? Has anyone seen or installed the DB Rack? Anyone know the...

    Need 69 instrument voltgage regulator

Did you buy Mustang & Fords or Mustang & Fast Fords? They have both and I have a copy of the July Mustang and Fords and it has the regulator in the NPD add. I just got it in the mail and I was going to respond to you, but I was beat to the punch.

    foldown seats interchange?

I think Mustang and Fords just did a tech on this or it may have been Mustang Monthly. I know they said an earlier seat will fit a 69-70 with a few changes.

    Rewiring my 69-suggestions welcome

Yeah, I am going to do the whole car too. It will be awhile before I start on mine because I have a guy that is going to do paint and body on it pretty soon. I have decided to wait and wire it after I get it back. Mustang Monthly or Mustang and Fords just did an article on 69-70 gauges and where...

    Hydraulic clutch kits.....

The only kit I know of is the JMC one. A lot of places like NPD and CJ's sell this kit. I bought one and installed it on my 69 and it is a tight fit next to the booster, but it works.

    Rewiring my 69-suggestions welcome

It is a real bummer. I just called them about a month ago an asked about a harness for my 69 and they said they didn't have one. When I saw your post I called right away and they said at least 9 months. Not sure I can wait that long. I think I'm going with an EZ harness.

    Rewiring my 69-suggestions welcome

I called Painless and they said they need 9 months to a year before they come out with this harness.

    Where to do online shopping?

I agree you need to watch the quality of parts you get from some of these places. I've been buying form CJ's for like 10-12 years and never had a problem. I think the quality of parts they sell are as good or even better than NPD. When I bought parts for my '68 from NPD I had issues with the...

    Where to do online shopping?

CJ Pony Parts is by far the best IMHO. National is good, but in many cases is very expensive compared to other companies. I have a National Parts not far from me, but I order almost everything from CJ's. My buddy just bought parts for his 68 mustang and NPD was like $1600 + tax for the parts...

    Shaker Identification Links?

bb and sb have different midplates. also I was told torino midplates are different than mustang midplates. I was told torino midplates allow the shaker to sit further back toward the firewall than a mustang midplate.
