Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

I got my X2 from Mustang Tuning. I got tunes with it, but I use tunes given to me from SCT . The guys from SCT on the forum are very cool and may give you some custom tunes based on your mods if you ask them nicely. I'll get a real dyno tune after I install my LT's and stage II cams. Thanks for...

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

I set mine for 5500rpm. Just before redline. That way I don't hit the rev limiter if I go over a little. With my stock cams (for now) power falls off after 4900rpm anyway. It's easy to adjust the redline, so you can play around and find what best suits your application.

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

Yeah, I saw it as a major safety factor, being able to keep your eyes on the road. I'm from Columbus as well. What track do you go to? National Trails?

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

I wish I would have heard about them sooner. I always wanted a shift light, but was put off by having to buy a tach adapter ($60) and installing it. Not to mention most shift lights that are not attached to aftermarket tachs need "pills" to set the limit. And the cost all together was about...

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

Yeah, I really like it there. Now I can keep my eyes on the road instead of the tach. I didn't even know this product existed until reciently. It is very popular with the 03-04 Cobra guys. Here is another really cool spot to mount it...

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

Here is a picture of the very easy 3 wire install. You have a 12v switched power, ground, and the input comes from the #1 coil lead from the ECU. All of them are right there in the kick panel!

Raptor Shift light install with pics/video

Just installed my new Raptor Performance shift light and it is sweet. It does NOT require a tach adapter and all the wiring is done in the interior of the car. It is super bright and even in direct sunlight it is very easy to see. A very cool mod. I got mine from Butt Ugly Customs for $85...

Edelbrock 4.6 SOHC Intakes - 2 of them

You have to take RPM Outlet's numbers for the Mustang with about 64 billion grains of salt. According to their numbers my car should be making about 600hp. But it will be nice to have an aluminum intake that can be ported and have more resistance to a nitrous backfire than plastic. Down the road...

    Injectors and WHP

What are the basic HP limits of the different injector sizes? Is there some kind of a chart out there for the 4.6l engine? I've searched around and haven't found anything.

    800+RWHP Here we come!

Holy Crap!!! That kind of power is hard to imagine. Recently I drove my friends 2004 Cobra with a Whipple @20psi putting down about 650whp and it was a BEAST. Most fun I've had with my pants on. Mad props to you Mod Man!!!! :nice:

Car runs great but surges/bucks in 5th at 1300-1500 RPMs

That is strange. I have a 2002 that was doing the EXACT same thing. I couldn't figure it out. And I was at that RPM a lot going 50-55 in fifth gear. I was frustrated as hell!!! But I recently put in 4.10's and I very rarely run at that RPM anymore, but I'm sure it's still there. I also am...

Carnage PICS (stock turbo 2 valve)

I don’t think I’ve seen an obliteration of a piston quite that bad before. Congratulations! Good luck with your new short block.

    opinion needed, winter setup

That's funny I have never heard a bad thing about Blizzak's until your post. They have been rated the best snow tire by many publications that have tested them. They are one of the top selling snow tires in Canada (they may know a thing or two about snow up there) The only bad thing I can think...

VT Stage 1's or Stage 2's

Man, I can't wait untill spring when I get my longtubes and VT II's. Gotta love that lopey idle. Even if the install is a little more involved, to get an extra 10whp or so up top would be worth it. How much did your last 10whp cost you? Bet it cost more than a set of springs!!! :D

I got one word for you..BLIZZAK...I drive my Stang year round in Ohio. We have already had snow this year. I have two sets of rim/tires, performance summer tires and Blizzak's. They are hands down the best snow tire out there. Just incredible. And whatever you do, don't just get two. You will...

    Gears are over rated.....

To ad a footnote here: Gas mileage was also a big concern for me in installing gears because my Stang is a daily driver. With the added RPM's I figured my mileage would suffer some. It hasn't. I just drove 280 miles through the mountains of West Virginia this weekend, and some of if at speeds...

    Gears are over rated.....

I'd ask around the parts department at your local Ford dealer. I have found that there is usually someone who does stuff like that on the side or they know someone who does. Don't expect to pay less than $300 for the job though. But even at $200 for gears and $300 for an install, it would be...

    Gears are over rated.....

My brother and I had never done anything like that before either. I've wanted to do gears, but was always afraid to do it. It is not easy that's for sure, but you can do it without any prior knowledge. And don't tell yourself that you "can't". Look at it this way, if someone told you that if...
