    Go to the local auto parts store and pick up a compression tester. They are pretty cheap. Get one that is a "screw in" type. Do a compression test and let us know what the reading is, once we know wether the compression is good or not, we can advise from there.

    You could go to a 5.4 but it will be a bit of work and will give you more low end but about the same higher rpm hp. Yes you can use the 4.6 heads but that would be pointless b/c they are the same.

    Well I live in a pretty small town so the quickest "street legal" car would be mine, the fasteset would be an old fellow [81 years old] who puts around in a 2001' Vette. I'm pretty sure my Stang is still faster than my TA but I won't now for sure until I can get a chance to take it the track.
