    OT--Yamaha R-6

If you're a first time rider, don't get a new R6. Go buy a POS 600 and ride the crap out of it. Lay it down once or twice. Then go get an R6. If you buy a new R6 only to lay it down a couple weeks later, you will cry. With new riders, it's not if you lay it down, it's when.

Does anyone have pics of their suspension setups..if so please post

Tell your friend not to waste his time with TIG welding them in. Use a MIG as it will be much easier and go much quicker. TIG welding in SFCs is overkill to the Nth degree. As far as pictures, just do a search (either on SN or a google) and you should find plenty.

    axle dampner

"Twisting" really isn't the right term. Those dampeners are the quad shocks and are there to control wheel hop. Wheel hop occurs as the rear tires repeatedly lose and regain traction. It's caused by flex in the control arms. In may situations, you can ditch them all together, but it's...

Dang cold weather killed my balancer!

I just re-read that thread Chris and Vib said that he "thought" it was a joke. I didn't think it ever got conclusively proven. Either way, you're right as he is long gone. But it is kinda fun to beat that dead horse every now and then. :)

    Brake Swap?

$400 dollars for a set of brakes is a deal. If you don't want to spend that on a SAFETY item for your car, get out of the game. I understand that you "saw this one setup in an auction for cheap" but that was an auction. It was probably a used setup, the rotors warped, the calipers needing...

Dang cold weather killed my balancer!

I seriously think you don't understand sarcasm. You must have missed that day in English 101. Oh wait. Judging by your spelling and grammar usage, I think you missed that whole semester. Oh wait. You're banned.

    B303 cam advantages and disadvantages?

I can see that arguement, but that wasn't mentioned in the original post. The post topic was about a B cam in a stock Cobra. All things being equal, it isn't worth it.

    Clutch + accessories ?'s

I'd suggest calling Centerforce about that matter before trusting anyone else's word.

Would it be smart if I set them up like this?

00R uses 18"s front and rear. Typically, it's better to go with one wheel size just for rotating purposes. If you plan on running fat tires in the rear anyways, there's no problem with running two different diameters, but performance wise, you'll go slower with 18" wheels vs 17".

    Clutch + accessories ?'s

The CF 1 will be fine assuming that you aren't slipping the clutch. But if you have any mods planned for the motor, consider something a bit beefier (like the 2 or the dual friction). Good choice on the clutch though. As far as I'm concerned, CF and McLeod are the some of best clutches...

I'm so lost.... help me out.

Could be the PIP in the dist. but I'm not sure if a bad one would allow spark or not. They're a pain to change as to have to press the gear off the shaft. Unless you have a press, it's usually easier to just swap in a whole new dist. As far as the firing order issue, the 302 and 5.0 HO have...

    B303 cam advantages and disadvantages?

If it's bone stock, why are you installing a cam? Why waste the time and energy? The stock cam is just fine until you swap heads.

    Suspension Setup

Although many people have swapped to KYB's and like them, they do not compare to quality (read "not cheap") dampers. If you can afford them, go with Bilstein for the best ride quality available. KYB's will work fine to replace your stock equipment, but don't expect much more than stock...
