    I need some opinions please

Alright.... As some of you might know, my car was was totaled out due to flood damage. Water got in the floor boards, but did not reach the computer or fuse panel. The motor is blown up. It has a rod knock. Now, the insurance company has given me the car back, and gave me a check for $6,600...

    Drag Racing ? (Gearing)

A 150 shot, long tubes, and some aftermarket cams will get you in the 121-123mph range in the 1/4.

16,000 Bucks What are my options

One thing you need to be sure and not overlook, is the fuel system. Having to buy injectors, fuel pump, boost a pump will all add up quick, not to mention a new MAF and all that mess. IMO, your best option would to be search the boards on Corral for a used Vortech and Procharger set up. Slap...

    Suspension advice!

I have said it plenty of times, I like MM's stuff, just not for drag racing. Their K member kit's barely weigh less than a factory K member. Same goes with all their other suspension products. If I was building a car strictly for Road racing or auto cross, I would use MM. But for everything...

    Suspension advice!

The only way a Upper and lower control arm set up will be harsh, is if spherical bushings are used. UPR offers their control arms with spherical and poly bushings. I have been running UPR's stuff since I first got my car and have loved it. If I was building a car to auto cross, I would put...

    Suspension advice!

BTW: 50% of hooking, is in the weight transfer. When you order some shocks and struts, get some strange 10 way adjustables. I have them on my car and they are awesome. As far as brand name's for suspension stuff, you are going to get 2 different answers. UPR and Maximum Motorsports I am...

    Suspension advice!

We really should make a sticky with some of this stuff. 1. Subframe connecters 2. upper and lower control arms 3. Shocks, struts, springs 4. K member and coilovers Number 2 and 3 can be switched order wise. Regardless, SFC's need to be the 1st thing.

    intake, heads, exhaust?

But with MMR's ported heads for under $1,000, it still has stock valves, stock guides, stock springs, ect. It's a completely stock head with a port job. Don't get me wrong, I've seen their port work, and it looked good. But a person would still need to upgrade to bigger valves, springs, ect...

    intake, heads, exhaust?

No need right now for an aftermarket intake manifold. Heads and cams wise, I would look into the Modular Head Shop stage 2 cylinder heads, and Modular Head Shop stage 2 cams. Both would pick up the power significantly.
