Hey Stangnetters, I am looking at a parts car that has a cobra upper and lower, and a t5 for 1500. Can you help me distinguish between the 4 cyl t5 and the wc?
The rest of the car is pretty much junk, So I plan on parting what I need and scrapping the rest. For 1500, the tranny needs to...
Has anyone seen dyno proven results of horsepower increase by adding roller tip rockers? I have a set from comp cams that are driving me crazy. The annoying tick never goes away, regardless of lash. My machinist suggested cast aluminum valve covers, versus the stock steel, to dampen sound...
I have bought a used driver a/c kit for my 66 coupe. The kit is missing the 3 groove crank pulley. All of the stock type 3 groove pullies I have found have the third (AC) groove too far in. Will the ac kit supplier sell just the crank pulley? Thanks.
The hose hooked to the water pump would be the pressure line. That would be the one to put the valve in. The other would be the return, and shouldn't draw much heat.
I am neck deep in my I6 to 5.0 swap. I have a 91 roller mated to a 1980 granada C4. The flexplate I need is a 50 oz 164 tooth. My machinist at Napa sold me a pioneer FRA 214. Looked pretty close, but the converter bolts hit the spacer plate and the flexplate balance weight hits the spacer as...
I am going to use the 6038 motor mounts on my v8 swap. A diagram I have shows a heat shield between the block and the mount. Is this piece neccesary or even available? PN C5ZZ-6C038-A Thanks
Capri, The roller tip rockers you are inquiring about are superior to stock stamped steel, in that investment casting offers true ratios, wheras stamped steel can vary plus or minus. The newer rockers are also a cheaper alternative to full needle bearing rockers.
PS I have a set on ebay now:D

That is a ford safeguard kind of thing. When your clutches are gone in third, it won't shift past second. I have gotten them so hot, that it wouldn't shift past first. The nice thing is you can drive it to get repaired.
I was originally going to re ring a 87 or newer 302, port the E7's, and throw in an E cam for my 66. Now I have come across a set of Windsor Jr heads for a good price. I am also considering a crate shortblock with slight dome pistons for 10:1 with a 58cc head. Is the E cam a mismatch for the...
My 66 coupe had the exact same symptoms. Took apart, and was missing one of the bolts holding the clutch to the flywheel, oh yeah, the pressure plate was shot too.
I bought a set that looks just like the magnum roller tip in either 1.6 or 1.7, rail or non rail for 65.00 off ebay. RPM warehouse or something like that. Rockers are actually made by CAT industries.
I used to see a guy at the drag races in phoenix, had a 70-71 gto clone that would run low 12's through mufflers and cheater slicks. It seemed way too quiet to go that fast. He never opened his hood, though. Claimed he had a mild 455 pontiac.
No, the warrranty number is stamped in the inner fender, and on the door tag. The girl at geico told me some older vin numbers are not in their database, and their computer automatically treats it as an invalid vin.
