Do I need the wheelwell installed for fenderwell filter??

Read thru air filter threads and found nothing about this unique question...I bought an 87 LX with CAI in the fenderwell and noticed that the wheelwell is not there. A buddy mentioned that it might cause erratic airflow causing the car to run rough, etc. Is this true or would I be ok without...

true...maybe i'm missing something but if I'm just putting the white face overlays on, the odometer should stay where it's at, correct?

    140mph gauge cluster install/circuit repair

Maybe I can get a 23 tooth gear to make it accurate...but that would be very helpful if you don't mind! I've done the drill trick but not sure if that's what you're talking about.... P.S. miles are who knows how far off from when the guy who owned it before was running without a speedometer...

    140mph gauge cluster install/circuit repair

Well that actually doesn't look too bad! so to convert to 140 I can get the white face overlays and then what else? My speedometer is off already because I put a 20 tooth gear in the transmission because it didn't have one at all when I got the car. It reads about 10 mph under what I'm doin

    140mph gauge cluster install/circuit repair

that's good to know, but I've seen a few pictures of white face gauges installed and I'm not sure it'd look good in my almost all black interior...might stand out to much! HA Thanks for answering my questions, I'm just trying to do things right the first time!

    140mph gauge cluster install/circuit repair

That's what I figured from the research I have done...I don't really want to modify if possible. What's the next best option as far as simplicity for a 140 mph speedometer? I'd like to keep the cluster with the stock black look.

    140mph gauge cluster install/circuit repair

I found a 140 mph cluster on ebay that says it'll fit 87-93 for $100. I have an 87 LX. Is that a good price or could I find one in a junkyard or something for less?? Because I just started looking into the gauge cluster stuff....so I need any help and suggestions!

well i'll be offshore for the next couple weeks...but from driving it before I left it didn't seem to have much free play and I don't think it would start taking off till the pedal was almost halfway up...but any looser and it will rattle all over the place and that can't be right

    Clutch Won't Disengage

Haven't really paid attention to the point of engagement, but I ended up getting a Ford racing adjustable cable and quadrant...but the adjustment it had wasn't enough...I had to add several nuts to get the cable tight enough to fully disengage the clutch in order to put it in gear. If the cable...
