    Rack & Pinion question (95 vs 03)

    I have a rack out of a 2003 Cobra. I compete at Mid America Motorplex in Glenwood, Iowa http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/2006/rc_default.asp That rack out of a 95 Cobra R is race inspired, race ready and a quick ratio unit. I would bet that thing 3 to 5 bills to buy from Ford.

    The OE Ford 03-04 Cobra racks are a quicker ratio rack. Meaning the wheel takes less turns from wheel lock to wheel lock.     That was the owner of the exhaust shop where the cutouts were put on and the down pipes fabercated. I didn't feel very comfortable with him smoking under my car but....It's his shop and I was lovin the detail and hardwork that was going into the exhaust setup.

    I will be checking the pinion snubber and e-brake lines before I decide to take it off. Thanks for the heads up. Overall it sounds like it can go, but will check everything that is related to it (pinion snubber and brakelines) first.

    Yes, they are DMH e-cutouts. Very nice quality and from what research I've done, they are the only e-cutouts w/ a warranty.
