Ever removed a fuel rail? Help me out.

Anything special I need to watch for? What will the injectors tend to stay with, the rail or will they stay in the manifold? And should the o-rings be oiled a little to help them slip back into their pockets when I put the rail back on? I'm rigging up a pressure gauge, sending unit, and...

    Fuel pressure regulator help

A little background guys: My car has been taking a long time to crank before the engine would fire up. Then it would just bellow black smoke for 3- 5 seconds until it cleared out. After that it would run pretty normal. I thought it could be the tune since my tuner has been tweaking some final...

    New Nittos

That ought to be about right.....don't forget to get out, drop the pressure to @ 15psi, and do a 10 second burnout before you get into race though.:) Just kidding....I have a little problem with Nittos...I had a set and they lasted better than I thought they would though. Good luck with them.

More "Cobra Brakes on GT" questions. Sorry

Are there any issues concerning brake porportioning from front to rear that have to be addressed so the rear brakes do not have a tendancy to lock-up after the conversion, or is the GT pretty much set like the Cobra is from the factory?

    Engine Problems, please help!!

If you can't get to a dyno, a good tuner will work with you after some datalogging, to get it real, real close. Maybe not perfect, but it will be a few horsepower you may not miss for the cost or situation your in (no dyno I mean). I know an excellent tuner in Virginia. If you need him, PM me...

    Tire Poll

No, your not the only one. I don't think they suck, I know they suck. That is unless you have the opportunity to do a 10sec burnout everytime you call upon them to do what you bought them for. Basically, no heat - no stick. You get what you pay has been my experience. The best two all around...

More "Cobra Brakes on GT" questions. Sorry

I came across a deal on 1999 Cobra brakes for my 98 GT. The guy is selling me everything....he is basically disconnecting them where the rubber line screws in at the rigid line, and selling me everything. My question is, since he is selling to me this way , is the re-assembly as simple as...

    Cams And Headers

Why can't you have long tube headers as long as all O2 sensors are installed and functioning, as well as EGR and cats?

    KB 1.7 9-psi Kit Owners...Performance Stats Please

That blue line has a nice lookin A/F ratio. You probably had some available horsepower with the Saleen kit by leaning it up just a little bit as well. Hard to see it, but the green(Saleen) line looks like it is around 11.0. I like it to be up around 11.8 - 12.0 max.

    KB 1.7 9-psi Kit Owners...Performance Stats Please

Where are you coming from my Canadian friend? My first dyno run was 290rwhp with the Allen (M90Eaton also as YOU know) at 6psi and a cat back on a 98 NPI motor. I think he should have been at least around 310-320 with the Saleen and those PI heads. It really don't matter I guess, were talkin KB...

    KB 1.7 9-psi Kit Owners...Performance Stats Please

Those Saleen #'s look awfully low, particularly for a PI engine.....is there a story behind that? Were there any other mods done at all?

Back from the track... And now in the 12 sec club!

It still hasn't been explained to my level of understanding how a 250 horsepower car is propelled past the finish line 1320 feet away at a speed of 107 mph. I am not saying its impossible...cause I am too inexperienced, but I know alot of people with fast cars, and I have seen alot of cars run...

Get Guiness to certify the slip and I will believe it. :-)

Back from the track... And now in the 12 sec club!

I don't want to argue or flame....too old for that crap. All I can do is compare his story to my real world experience with my car. I'm running a roots blower with cams, albiet on a NPI motor, and I trap right at 107. Isn't trap speed a loose barometer of horsepower output? I don't care about...

    98 GT smoking bad......blue smoke!

 It would definately effect power if it was bad enough. I couldn't say how much it would take before you would notice it though. Did this come on all of a sudden, like within a day, or was it something you saw get worse and worse over a few weeks?

    98 GT smoking bad......blue smoke!

My guess is either valve seals or valve guides. I can't remember which is responsible, but the blue smoke after idling for a minute or so is indicative of wear in this area. Chevy's were notorious for this years ago.
