    How do 96-98s run blown?

TDC? I don't really know all the turbo makers like I do the blower makers (vortech, procharger, paxton, kenne bell). The only turbo kits I've seen have been like over $6,000, and that is WAY WAY out of my price range...but a Vortech kit doesn't sound too bad, plus it comes with everything I...

    How do 96-98s run blown?

Oops I messed up, I dunno why I said that, but I meant a relatively stock car that is blown.

    How do 96-98s run blown?

I figure since doing a PI headswap bumps up the compression ratio, you can't get blown then, so how does a relatively stock non-PI 2v run? Whats tehb est setup? Anyone have any dyno graphs? Throw out all the info, results, everything.

What 4v Engine would you go with ?

Is there an easy way to do this or are you basically taking the whole engine from a parts car? None of the 4V parts are interchangeable on a 2V right?

    Need Help With Shocks/Struts

Hmm I always heard Bilsteins were pretty smooth...I'm looking into new shocks/struts...don't really want to jack with adjustables.

Can some of you help a noob out with shift points?

If you're letting it get up to 3, 4, 5 thousand RPMs during everyday normal driving, then you are gonna be getting some BAD gas mileage and putting extra wear on your engine that could be easily avoided. Sometimes I even shift at around 1800 RPMs. I don't think cruising in 5th at about 45-50...

Can some of you help a noob out with shift points?

If you bring it from 3rd to neutral it shouldn't make any noise....your RPMs will simply drop down and your car will be at idle, simply rolling.

    Need Help With Shocks/Struts

The last I heard, Edelbrock shocks are made by Bilstein. Just what I heard. I dunno if this goes for anyone else, but I had KYB struts on my coupe and it rode like a flinstone car....felt every bump in the road.

Can some of you help a noob out with shift points?

I always thought it was bad to downshift when coming to a stop. Isn't that referred to as "engine braking"? Does it harm anything if lets say I'm in 4th gear and I am coming to a stop....I just push the clutch in all the way and roll up to my stop in 4th, then when I'm stopped I go to 1st (as...

    Quick question about salvage title

You always have to think....that will be on the title forever, so when you're trying to sell it, people are gonna see that its salvaged, and back away. The best thing to do is just back away and find something else you like. Same thing with lemons. Even if it is a REALLY nice car, it will be...

    Grille Delete

You hit the nail on the head. I HATE that stupid ring. Something about it just makes it look ghetto and when I see them I just automatically think the car is a v6.

BBK o/r X and BBK Longtubes?

I got a question. Do your longtubes/X-pipe hang down kinda low? Do they look like they could have been tucked up closer to the body?

BBK o/r X and BBK Longtubes?

Hmm...I'm still struggling to choose. My thing is....it doesn't matter about the do it yourself thing, because I'm gonna be getting longtubes, and since I am gonna get someone to install the longtubes, and also weld in the mufflers, I might as well get them to put in the shorty x pipe, because...

    What were changes for 1998

2.5" tailpipes is supposed to add 10 HP?! So I wonder where the 2 1/4" part ends and the 2 1/2" part starts. I know it sounds like I'm over thinking this, but I wanna make the right choice the first time...and I really wanna get Spintech Sportsmans! I don't wanna have to buy a catback kit...

Ok, I'll ask...what makes our engines modular?

I always thought it had something to do with the ginormous heads and the cams within them and the lack of pushrods.

Sounds like a good question to me.
