Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

Holy cow... That sucks. At this point, I'd be inclined to buy rubber hose and bypass the fuel lines to recheck that everything else is fine, and that the part of the line you're bypassing contains the crimp or blockage. Starting to make me wonder if it could be more than one part.

Progress Thread 85GT4V’s “New” 1985 Mustang GT

Same with Black Jack. It needs a paint job, but it's my daily. What's the point in putting a lot of money into a paint job only to make me nervous parking next to anyone? I also don't mind putting it through an automatic car wash.

Thanks for that... I've been trying to figure out the best microfiber towel approach. They really like to pick up scratchies. So, when I start to notice that, I relegate them to wheel-duty, shop towel duty, or just toss 'em. I've used Chemical guy's towels, but they're pricey. I'll check out...

Yeah, I just sprayed on waterless wash and then sprayed the distilled. Ok... Can try that next time. So, it's really more of a drying technique. Don't have to scrub with dry towels. Still worth it. It's mostly the drying technique that puts the swirls in.

Progress Thread 85GT4V’s “New” 1985 Mustang GT

Well, finally got around to trying it. Grover is normally covered, but I got home with a very light dusting on it, uncovered it, and decided to do a waterless wash. Well, fast forward two months, and though it's in a normally closed garage, the dust accumulated a bit. I'd ordered the 2 gallon...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

I was just thinkin' the same thing. There will be 50 cars with them at foxtoberfest this year. They look great, but everyone will think so, too. Feels like you have to go to other circles to find something a little more unusual.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Where does one get the best price? I'm honestly about ready to sell the Corbeaus and get my money out of them while I still can.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Thanks for the motivation guys... FYSA, the damned dog has never been in the car the recaros came out of.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

What seats? I'm 6'4. I made the Corbeau's work with low profile brackets and detaled that here in this thread. But, while it's even fine with a helmet on, it's still higher than I like. That said, the Recaros work on extenders, too. You would have enough room in them.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Everything's squared away on the hatch. It's a much better piece in many ways. Next up: I dropped off the driver's corbeau GTS II, because I can feel the almost wire thin metal frame protrud8ng from the left-thigh-bolster's padding. I think if I let that go too long, it'll wear through the...

    Engine Contour fan CFM

Been a long time since I actually had an OEM fan. But the replacement just wasn't getting the job done at idle.

Electrical 91 hatch wiring help needed

Mike, appreciate the input. Your post came in right about the same time I was out in the garage testing and helped confirm what I was seeing. Here’s where everything landed: Wires / Functions Purple/Yellow: Hatch latch switched 12V trigger Brown: License plate lights parking lamp circuit...

Electrical 91 hatch wiring help needed

Even though they're both 1991 hatches the wires are different, and the connectors are too. I probably need to just probe this out, but its good technical fodder for future reference, and hopefully someone can just set me straight @Mustang5L5 Car side So on Car side: 1. Double LG/Yellow 2...

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

It still needs adjustment, and it doesn't have the same wire colors or connectors, so I still have stuff to work through, but hell yeah brother, that LX spoiler just looks better than the GT on these cars: 1. Better spoiler 2. the later years latch, fortunately I had a spare striker for it...

Free Beta Access: Tool I Built to Hunt Fox Bodies Faster

Mike, also, I don't know if it's because I'm using an old version of Chrome, but it's glitching a bit. The text is seemingly white and blends with the background. However, I can highlight it and then it changes color to become readable.

Free Beta Access: Tool I Built to Hunt Fox Bodies Faster

Put me in coach! I am constantly scrubbing the markets manually. Part of it is passing time, but right now, I'm seriously trying to help a neighbor find a manual non-vert fox nearby (NC) for ~$10k. [email protected]
