Ebay Rad Rides 67 fastback already up to $42k!!

I saw it in person at the carshow in St. Paul. It is awesome! I didn't quite realize what it was so I went up to the guy by the trailer and asked him where I've seen the car before. He said "Discovery Channel, Hot Rod magazine, etc..." Oh, yeah... felt kind of stupid. I had seen it in...

Ebay Rad Rides 67 fastback already up to $42k!!

I would much rather have that fast forward ebay mustang than the crappy eleanor clone that someone has bid 127,000 on. fast forward is more famous than another bad copy of eleanor. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2496416874&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT...

    Brake/Clutch Bezel trouble

Yeah, just trying to get those little stainless steel trim pieces around the rubber pads on the brake and clutch pedals.

    Tach Type and Location

Looks good. man that thing is a monster - not going to miss the shift light... Mounting sounds very familiar. I cut the bottom out of a 3" rubber pipe termination cap from Home Depot. Also had to cut about a half inch of the circumference off too. Used a hose clamp for the business end of...

    rear spring eye bolt

I couldn't get mine out either and actually started cutting the spring, then I saw a post that said to get a big C clamp and a deep well socket and press the bolt out. Worked like a charm and saved me a ton of time. I used an 8" C clamp and dont remember the size of the socket but it just...

Someone had a picture of some gauges mounted on their A pillar - don't know if a tach was one of them...

    Brake/Clutch Bezel trouble

I got some new bezels for my brake and clutch pedal pads. I'll be damned if I can get them to go over the pads while they are on the pedals. But if I take the pad off and slip the bezels over and then try to put back on the pedal I can't get them to go over. Anyone have any helpful hints...

    Tach Type and Location

I bought a Sun Super Tach II on ebay and it came with a curved mounting plate attached to it. I put a rubber piece around the steering column and a hose clamp holds it in place. Works just fine and I can still see all the original lites/gauges on the dash. tach

    Absolutely Frustrated...

I had similar rough running engine in my 65 289 and I waited until I was extremely frustrated to do one of the easiest tests out there. Do this first because it is simple as pie. Start your car and get it to idle. Then take a can of carb cleaner and spray it at the base of your carb on each...

    Tach Wiring questions?

Just sounded like the sun tach that used to be in the car may have been hooked up wrong if it was going to the + side of the coil, but maybe that doesn't matter here. :p

    Tach Wiring questions?

I just wondered if the previous owner had the old tach hooked up wrong. Sounds like they had the signal wire coming from the positive on the coil.

    Tach Wiring questions?

My sun tach has 4 wires. Black, Red, White and Green. Black = ground to the frame Red = 12v switched power (only on when key is in run position) White = dash light positive (so your tach lites up when your dash does) Green = NEGATIVE terminal on your coil. P

    Weatherstrip glue

Well, the stuff I used was made by Permatex and it is a clear liquid that seems like it would not hold very well, but again this is not a door window weatherstrip - it is on the trunk and I would think even bubblegum would hold that one on for the short period of time the trunk lid stays open...

    Weatherstrip glue

Well, I got some actual weatherstrip glue but they didn't have 3m. I will use what I bought. Should be good enough for the trunk I would think.

    Weatherstrip glue

I'm going to be putting on a new piece of weatherstrip on my fastback trunkl Do I need to get glue specifically for weatherstrip or will silicone glue work ok?

    Amp location

Well, my inside rear quarters have the holes molded into it and the previous owner had some very thin grilles on it (thin enought to allow the folddown seat to go up and down with no interference) along with some 20 year old radio shack 6x9's. And one of those old analog am/fm radios custom...

    Amp location

I'm going to be dropping in an amp so my sterio sounds a little better. I'm wondering if people would be willing to post some pix of where they located their sterio equipment on their classic ponies. Thanks!

    Considering purchase - advice needed

I don't think it is a real GT. The paragraph states GT "syling" and it has drum brakes. I think the GT's had disc at least in front. I don't think that is the question here though. Assume it is not a factory GT. How can they claim it had a complete restoration with that seat back hanging...

    Turn a 65 Coupe into a Fastback?

^ | :rlaugh: Sounds like an ungodly amount of work. How would you do the back seat - leave it as coupe or make a folddown? I think it would be worth less than just a straight coupe would be...
