    Need to rollback odometer

Will running the drill backwards roll the odometer back? I always thought that it would only ever register going forward.

    Need to rollback odometer

As the story goes, I was able to find a Ford motorsports 160mph speedometer, and I want to put my actual mileage on it without breaking it. My current 85mph (car is an '87) displays 12xxx miles, and my new 160mph unit is displaying 37xxx miles, and well, I don't want to have to leave it hooked...

    Douchebags that want to race

Didn't mean to stir up such a ruckus... :leaving: I don't consider gettin it off the light "racing" nor did I know that there were laws against "excessive acceleration." (I still don't think we have that here) I did not bark any tire or really get it THAT hard. Think, stock 87 5.0, dry...

    Douchebags that want to race

I dunno, on the street initiating something like a wanna be launch from a red light, if it were me (NOT that it ever would be) I would be too embarrassed to even try to keep pushing the dude that just blew my doors off. I just don't understand their thinking. He was beat hard off the line, and I...

    Douchebags that want to race

...maybe I should migrate over to one of the ricer forums and ask the same question... :stick2:

    Douchebags that want to race

Just to set the record straight, I do not condone street racing, nor do I partake in anything of the such. I didn't break any laws, yes, I had two beers in me, but was over about a 3-4 hour period, so I know I was under the limit, and last I checked, there is no law against quick acceleration up...

Bringing back to life an 87' GT T-top

If you're wondering if you have newer panels or not in the rear, look at the rear shock access covers on the wheel tubs behind the rear seat. Pre '90's are kinda rectangle shaped, while the post '90s are round.

    Douchebags that want to race

Ok, so I was just taking a little drive up to my work truck to get my dmm tonight, and this little pissssant in a volvo turbo (remember I am right around NC State) tries to race me. I blow him away off the line up to the 45mph speed limit and drive normally after the short launch. This doushebag...

    Steeda tri-ax or MGW shifter?

Riverart I was thinking of doing the same setup as you have, I had the Hurst kit in my '91 but still had the stock shifter. I was wondering even with the long handle of the Hurst stick, is it still very beneficial to be running a tri-ax under it?

    Icm keeps going bad

Khan, well, never mind.:nonono: Anyway, your ICM can fry very easily if you have a leaky coil pack, or a shorted pack. When I had my '91 and I was having the half RPM reading on the tach with the slight misfire, I did my research and concluded that it was the ICM. Replaced it with a generic...

I've done 2 changes sense the initial, and I am sure that it is all clean now. I am still just praying that my main/rod bearings didn't get damaged from this little incident. No knocks yet!! *knocks on wood*

Yes, I am resurrecting my old thread. With that said, I had to put on a water pump on my work truck today! '98 Chebby 1500, 288k miles on the cute little vortec 4.3. Took me about a hour. What the hell FoMoCo???
