Fenders, rear bumper and spoiler are painted! Only have one paint session left! Front bumper, door moldings, and the rest of the cobra kit (front fender spats and rockers).

+40-45mm offset 17x9” wheel recommendations for 93 cobra

Couple things first. The 93 cobra is no wider than any other fox body. The FR500 backspace and offset is no different than any other 9” wide SN95 wheels (95 Cobra R, 03 Cobra, 10th Anniversary Cobra, etc). Sounds and looks like your car has 96 - 04 front spindles, which increase track...

Progress Thread “Rising from Ashes 2” 95 Saleen S-351 build

So not a high build? That would be a pain to sand more than once on a surface like that.

I would not want to sand that! Is that primer surfacer or another type of primer?

Doors, hatch and hood are on. Manage to do it all without a scratch. No real issues. Got everything lined up, fitting well and closing properly. Also used some button head cap screws for the door handles instead of the rivets. Going to do some work on the mirrors and quarter...

Very cool! They’ve done some amazing builds. Awesome that they took you for a tour.

Yes. All those body kit pieces take so much time to prep. So much work for not a lot of paint. That’s pretty cool. Never would have thought BMW did that.

Thanks. I assumed you might have seen this color at work. I don’t and I have been wondering about this name.

Another long day, but more progress. Under side of hood is done, which means the hood is now finished. Doors and hatch are done too (top side and jams). Next up is fenders spoiler and one of the bumpers. Then cobra kit the remaining bumper and I’m done!

Yep. I think that’s the whole roots vs twin screw design. This won’t be pullied for much more boost. Eaton was at 13-14. This will be at 14-15, but will make 70 to 80 more hp due to the efficiencies of the Whipple.

Then put the front suspension back on pulled it outside for the first time in its new color. The color in this light really shows why I was drawn to it. It almost has copper look in lower light sources. The car at work with this cooler looked awesome in late afternoon sunlight. Color is...

Then started the long tedious process of squeezing this thing back into the engine bay. The motor has to be moved as far forward as possible so the drivers side valve cover clears the steering shaft. Then it has to be angled so the passenger side header clears the frame rail. Then you can...

Lots to update. Will be in multiple posts due to five pic limitation. Removed the stock intercooler from the Eaton to compare the internals against the Whipple. Main difference is the rotor pack. The Eaton has three lobe rotors vs the Whipple’s four. The rotors on the Whipple also have...

Progress Thread Cars alive again, but would these items move on marketplace?

I'm not suggesting you do this right now, but something to keep in mind. Those rubber hoses that connect the pump to the hat can have issues (kinks, rips, loose clamps). Also, looks like the fuel line mounted gauge shows 30 psi and the cowl mounted gauge is below 20? Were those pics taken...

Definitely sounds like a fuel supply issue. Fuel pressure is vacuum referenced so at high vacuum (idle) it should be around 30 psi. Under throttle, low vacuum, should be around 40 psi. What’s the age/history of the pump?

Spent some time yesterday prepping for future events. Wanted to go ahead and get the parts ready for the next paint session. Taped and covered the top sides of the hood and hatch. Also, started cleaning, degreasing and prep of the undersides. Then pulled the lower intake and factory...

Not much accomplished this week. I’m waiting on the upgraded intercooler before installing the whipple and finally installing the drivetrain. While the main harness was out, I wanted to eliminate the unused ABS connector and wiring. So I cut it open and got to work. And 5 hours later...

Finally got the transmission input shafted re-shimmed and installed. Turned into a pain and took most of the day. First I had to figure out the best and easiest way to hang the transmission vertical. Some convenient tabs on the case housing allowed me to hang it from an engine hoist. Then...

When I bought this kit, the deal I got wasn’t far off from a built 347 and TKO500 setup. The terminator setup was stronger had more room to grow. That’s the only reason I chose it. Agree. The terminator sounds better. But, it’s hard to argue against the power and performance of a PD blown coyote.
