    Gauge Swap

I'm bored and putting off doing some work, so I was looking through an old Summit catalog. Anyone swap out some/all of their mustang gauges with new gauges? (ie. old oil pressure gauge for autometer oil pressur gauge) I wonder if you could fit 2 1/16 gauages in a older Mustang panel. . . ...

Sell the 65 or the 72?

Storage. Rent a place and put it there. If you let a HOA force you to sell it, you'll hate yourself.

    Yow! Using Oil!

Hmmm. I wondered what I was going to do this afternoon. I'll run them again and see. #1 was the first one I tested, so it might be a fluke. How much oil--a squirt or two? --P

    Yow! Using Oil!

OK, OZ, here is what I found out. First. Off the manifold vacuum line, it wiggles slightly between 16 and 17, but no higher or lower at idle. The compression test gave me this. 1-170 2-150 3-150 4-140 5-140 6-160 7-150 8-150 All of the plugs looked good, but most had some...

    Yow! Using Oil!

:rlaugh: It isn't smoking or fouling. It just bothers me as it, at least seemed to be, all of a sudden. Still, I guess after 19 years, it is bound to use/leak/seep a bit of oil. Will 2 grand get that oil overnighted to me and will I get my choice of weight and brand? :D :nice:

Oz--Thanks. I don't want to sound like a total idiot when I take it in to be checked. This is beyond my skills. . . . --P

    Yow! Using Oil!

How does one diagnose a leaking ring or valve seal/guide short of tearing down the engine? (Or invoking your Superman-like power of X-Ray Vision?) :D

    Electric Fan Questions:

I was thinking about an electric fan but, luckily for me, the radiator sprang a leak. I pulled the rad, took it to my pal's rad shop and he sealed it up and boiled out the rad while he had it there. I think I had about 20 years worth of crap in there. With a clean rad, a stock shroud and the...

    TDC and distributor question!

Just, whatever you do, don't run with that pencil, point up, in your hand. You'll fall and poke an eye out. Thank you, Miss Efrid--my first grade teacher--where ever you are! :D

    Yow! Using Oil!

Hi all-- Lately, my 66 has been using oil--about a quart every 2000 or so. Before this summer, it was tight except for some minor seeps. On my way to a show in Biloxi, I had some extended highway time at about 75 mph for almost 2 hours. (The car is mostly an around town machine with...

How much would you spend for this ebay stang?

Maybe that's why it only has about 100 miles on it! It is still cooling down from the last ride! Note the radiator's lack of an overflow hose--it'll just spout coolant all over your shiney new engine!

How much would you spend for this ebay stang?

Let's see. . . .80 grand. . . Once I paid off my student loans, my wife's car, a chunk of the house and set aside 15 grand for Adam's education, I'd still have about 20 grand to get a REAL MUSTANG, not a fake'd Shebly. Jesus, if you were going to spend that money, at least get a real one...
