    I was told that its main purpose is not debri, but to straighten out hte airflow before it hits the MAF wires to get a more accurate reading. Some say that this is why some people get low idle and then it surges. Now i just have to decide whether to keep it or toss it.

    Actually it wouldnt be 336, because 20% of 336 is 67.2, and 336-67.2 is 268.8 hp, and not 280.....it should be 350hp b/c 20% loss is 70hp which is 280 whp. If they say its 320 at the crank and 280 at the wheel that is a 14.28% drivetrain loss and not 20%, 20% would have been 64 hp loss. :nice...

    i believe if i recall correctly that the popping is due to a grounding problem. I wonder if your factory ground connection is loose or something. Also, it could very well be the headunit is going bad.

    New Mobil 1 0W-20, NOT 0W-30--the OW-20 is made for newer fords and hondas that recommend 5w-20...
