    Finally dyno'd and tuned...opinions?

My car has been running like crap for years and as a result, I never drive it. Well I finally decided to get it tuned by Eric Laferriere in Johnston, RI and here are the results... blue line is initial, green is first tune, and I beleive red is with 2 more degrees timing. Also had...

Whats the smallest and safest tire I could put on a 20x10?

check his sig...i bet they are for his Caddy. I would probably not go smaller than a 255, but you will need to check with the manufacturer of the tire. typically rim requirements are listed on their websites.

    Stroker kits.....How do these work?

you are a little mixed up on where the length of stroke is added... the stroker crank adds all of its length of stroke on the downstroke. it is not split between up and down. on a stock motor, your pistons will be coming all the way to the deck height. a stroker crank will simply draw the...

    Amazingly annoying tick...please help

thanks for the input everyone but I already run 20W-50 Castrol Semi synthetic. at this point, i guess I'm most wondering if it really could be a stuck lifter...I am willing to tear off the heads and intake to check them, just want to see if it is really likely it.

    Amazingly annoying tick...please help

nah, this isn't valve train noise, this is a very distict, very loud, and very annoying tick. i apprecaite the responses. I think I have an extra set of header gaskets in the trunk. I think I may give replacing them a shot. Anything else?

    Amazingly annoying tick...please help

i have looked around for the exhaust leak and, as I mentioned, had a pro look at it as well and I can't find a leak. One of the reasons why I'm leaning to an internal issue is because I have a mechanic's stethoscope and I can't pinpoint the issue to a header or valve cover, but i don't know if...

make sure you drain both front and rear plugs before you throw 5 quarts in, otherwise you'll overfill it by a decent amount.

    eliminating center console

my notch has manual mirrors. it will likely be tough finding the parts to convert one, but they are out there. however, it should not be difficult at all to relocate the mirror control, and personally, i would look around for a smaller, less obtrusive switch in a junkyard to change over to and...

Trying to figure out this exhaust

Honestly, I wouldn't go through the trouble. Unless the cats are clogged, you will see minimal if any performance increase. the only real benefit will be sound.

    Ok seriously... wtf?

WD-40 is not a good lubricant. yes, it will free stuck parts, but it attracts dust and will wash right off. use a white lithium if you need a spray lubricant

How do I leave the line straight?

as mentioned an anti rollbar, but you will also need to stiffen up the chassis to get it staying straight. through floor subframes and a cage/roll bar would greatly assist in this.

My first time at the track...

i think you are taking your rear tires down way too far in pressure. with radial tires, you'll want to keep them up close to what you run normally, as when you under inflate them, you are just simply decreasing your contact patch. try a couple runs in the high 20's, low 30's. when you are...
