    1997 ranger 2.3 headgasket

    personnally if it was me, i would buy the new bolts. head bolts stretch when torqued down and when they are reused they dont hold the same the second time. may save you more money if they end up causing head gasket problems in the future. just an opinion. :D

    as a last resort ( i seen this done) you could grind or cut (cutoff wheel on a grinder) off the top of the nut (where the key goes in) to reveal the stud under it. spray with a good penetrant oil. then use oversized socket or "good" vise grips. not the cheapy ones. and tap with a heavy hammer...

    factory landau roof??

    ok i finally broke down and dug throught the snow and got the info from the plate. there is nothing where it says vinyl roof, so it must have been put on. Im going to try to get hold of the previous owner to track back to see if it was dealer installed. just thought id fill ya in lol
