    I also have AFR165's, when I dyno'd mine and got only 260hp/300tq. I didn't have them tune it though. I was expecting around 300 too. :(

    Small/Big Block Weight Difference.

    I'm getting a new engine next spring and I'm trying to decide between a 408 and a 533. The 533 makes 100hp/145lbs more than the 408, but is it worth the addition in weight? Is there a big difference? Also these engines are the same price, so dont take that into account.

    Since it sounds like its all jimmy rigged maybe you should think about going carbed? Who the hell knows what the previous owner messed up if the injectors need a fusebox?? You could get the bottom end gone through, change to carb, and put in some nice Autometer gauges that you can wire yourself...

    Nah I had ET Streets with 60's in the 1.8's. I guess I just expected more from my combo. It was pretty hot out though. I really wanted into the high 12's n/a.

    I raced at the track all day Saturday and couldn't turn better than a 13.08 N/A. I had a mid MPH of 86 and trap at 106. The 106 was pretty consistent. From what I gather 106 is a high trap speed for such a high ET, anyone know how that works? I'm not hugely concerned with remedying it by...

    Yes, I have subframes, I know I'll need an 8pt cage to race at the track, I think it's 11.5 and faster? Good call on the torque box, I have to buy some reinforcement.

    Kind of on the some note, but you can get cool cans off of Summit. These hook inline with your fuel line, add cold water/ice, dry ice maybe?... The line is coiled inside of the can, works supposedly.
