    The Ford guy was talking about removing the exhaust manifold to install the tube which is why it is so expensive, I really do not believe that is required or any easier cause the manifold it self is a nightmare to R&R Are there any new suggestions?

    Instead of a block off plate for trouble shooting just remove and plug the vac line to the EGR valve. If your symptoms clear up it could be the valve or what ever controls the valve operation. Dwayne
